ugh. sick again. :(

but you know what's really nice? Wearing these bed socks (winter white w/apple green polka dots) to keep my toes warm while I'm resting up and getting better.

I did a half day at work before going home and crashing out. 4 hour of sleep and my throat didn't dry out completely! Hopefully, I can keep kicking this cold to the curb so I can finish things. I'm so behind! waaaaah!

It's been a hectic week filled with fun!

Last Thursday I flew to Los Angeles to help out with Anime Los Angeles. Met some awesome people! hazelchaz, ala_mokita, Pearl, Patrick, and Evan! Was drinking every night of the weekend with the last three and seshat! Twas fab! Also managed to get myself some lovely minions by the names of karinberry, koneho, and Steve. LOL. Fantastic times. I've never really had minions before but they were so awesome and I love them all. And Kon is absolutely adorable...just like karinberry had told me! :D I also may have accepted a promotion. STOP LAUGHING. It'll be less stress! Or so I'm told! :D Way less people than Fanime!

Also, kenaressa is coming back down for Fanime! SO EXCITED!!!!

Then it was back to work and try to do Fanime prep all week for the meeting on Sunday. I flailed over hot, hot Jin pictures and made a date with nihongofrancais to pick me up from the airport on Sunday.

Because I'm flying down to LA again on Saturday morning for the wrap up meeting for Anime LA. Meetings all day long. Then fly back the next morning in time for Fanime meetings all day long. Yup, a weekend full of meetings! I'm so far behind on being organized! D:

On top of that, I caught a chest cold. I'm mostly over it but am slightly congested and slept a LOT yesterday. About 15 hours worth. Took a small nap today. I'm totally bringing a ton of cough meds and tea with me down south. Or as I told Evan, who also caught a cold, I'm bringing the herbal tea, he's bringing the drugs. XD Am currently blogging while watching rightsock, damiri, yzo, and rogue_ravnos all play Rock Band 2.

It's all great fun just hanging out and I wish my new friends from So.Cali was up here with me to rock out. Of course, I'll see Steve again on Sunday and tease him horribly....just for Kon. But a weekend of meetings....joy. Anyone up for some sake afterwards?

Edit: rogue_ravnos is liquoring me up quite nicely! :D I've got an x-rated drink in hand. YUM.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

New Year's Resolutions to come tomorrow!

There are lots of happy things in my life right now. My friends, my family, having a job, eating healthy, having fun online with fandom friends, stressing out in planning for my division in Fanime, partying it up with all my friends all year long, hugs from Fishbot, arm/leg warmers, tea, the blue sky, the twinkling stars, weddings, gorgeous singers, my family, my friends.

So many things that I'm grateful for.


But...I can't help myself at the oddest moments, just stopping and staring off into the sky, and fervently praying and being utterly sad. I miss everyone who's moved on from my life. I miss my grandparents. I miss my friends. I miss my family. I miss friends I've lost touch with.

There's the empty space that's filled with memories and there's a bittersweet taste in my mouth as I remember. I miss the people so much.

And I pray for those who are going through rough times. You're in my thoughts.

Today started off wonderfully lazy. I woke up at 5:30am and thought to myself, "I don't have to go to work today!!!" and promptly went back to sleep. IT WAS GLORIOUS

So I'm just tooling around online and cleaning up a few things around the house. Going to make chocolate chip yogurt cookies soon to bring over to racerxmachina & roseembolism for their High Tea festivities. I'm going to bring over some of my teas to share. <3

But for now, it's been a fantastic day of laziness so far.

JE_Hols is now done with posting. I'm really glad things went off successfully despite all the madness and flurry behind the scenes. I'm going to miss being able to post fics every day and watching people flail. Watching people enjoy it means a lot! And the turnout So much love for everyone who participated

Oh! Now that I have a bit more time, I wanted to know who you think I should friend?! I know there are some people who friended me while I was insanely busy and I didn't get a chance to friend them back, so they de-friended me. I'm very sorry if you were one of them! But since work is easing up, I have more time to flail! :D Recommend me someone I need to flail around with?

I am so bad. I got THIS and I'm totally in love with it.

Instead of doing work and other errands, I am channeling my inner model and just flouncing around the house in this jacket.

Mmm...still in recovery from the crazy Halloween party, the fantastic time at the California Academy of Sciences, 6 hours of Killer Bunnies, and a day of being amazingly lazy (I even had a gourmet nap!) with sporatic cleaning.

I've resolved myself to try and blog every day this month for National Blogging Day but we all know how incredibly busy I tend to get, so we shall see how long I can last!

Also, I wanted to flail over the all the pamphlets I received from snowqueenofhoth because OH MY GOD!!! How I love them so and aslkjf;alsfk I've been flipping through them all and just...a;skjf;alskjf I WISH I WAS THERE FOR EACH OF THE SHOW/CONCERT!!! Shige's solow show pamphlet is ridiculously big (as big as the Dream Boys 2008 pamphlets) and Nakamaru's cracks me up while Ueda's is so damn pretty. I may end up doing a list of pamphlets I have just to keep track of them all! *___* And Tsubasa's is amazing.

WELCOME BACK TO KOREAN MUSIC, BOYS. :D :D :D:D Not that I don't adore their Japanese music.
