It's been a while, hasn't it?

Well the good news is that I'm still here on LJ! I haven't gone anywhere permanent although I do have a DW account (creatively named jemz if you want to find me! :D ) that can be accessed at work.

Anime Central was a lot of fun and very, very different from my experiences at FanimeCon but in a really good way! I was treated like guest royalty and even did some work for the concert. Then came all the drinking! Man, people in Chicago sure like their drinks! ;-)

FanimeCon was a huge success! The MusicFest concert was utterly fantastic and I'm a huge fan of Matsushita Yuya and a bigger fan of FLOW's. Also, gotta brush up on my dancing skills for the Black & White Ball. Everything went really well despite some hiccups which is totally normal.

I had a pretty good rest over the last two months. But I think it's about time I should announce a huge life change. Well, it's not exactly huge but a pretty major one. :D

But I'm no longer single!

As in........I GOT MARRIED. :D

So, um, how's your summer so far? ;-)

omg. am drowning in Fanime work and RL work.

But I had a blast watching the Yoshida Brothers play last night. They are so awesome!!!!

Tomorrow night, I'm totally excited to see Epik High!!! And I'll get to squish halffling & firefly_wish and maybe g_aria. liangzhu will be coming with me and Huong to the concert and the afterparty! :D I AM PRETTY EXCITED.

Then comes Fanime meeting on Saturday. Oh man, I'm so not ready but I'll try my best! Only 6 more days before Fanime begins!!!!!!

Yo. I'm still here! Still busy! I'm frantically packing, procrastinating, packing, getting things together, packing for NEW ORLEANS to see ISO and JENY. OMG. I'm so excited! You have no idea how much running around I've done. I haven't checked LJ in ages and I feel so behind!!!

This means a long weekend of fun, laughter, ISO and JENY, bachelorette party madness, drinks galore, banana fosters at Brennan's, dinner at Palace Cafe, clubbing, dancing, girl talking, sexy dresses and fierce makeup, and a whole lotta fun.


Gotta finish packing, shower, and sleep before going in to work for a half day. I'm flying out at 2:30pm, so watch out for random text messages from me as I WILL BE STUCK in Vegas for 2 1/2 hours without interwebs. woe.

How did this year pass by so fast?

I'm still a bit boggled by how quickly time passed me by and that it probably all meant that I was too darn busy to notice! I was telling a few friends that I felt that I didn't accomplish very much this year. So I decided to do a Year in Review and to remind myself that I did accomplish a lot!

I combined it with that meme (Take the first sentence (or two) from the first post of each month of 2008. That's your year in review.)

I...think I need more sleep. XD

Because I've been super busy and people have been poking me for things that I would want, here's my list. This also works for my birthday, which is a month later.

Step 1. Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me.") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD.") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/tv."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your e-mail address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. (Note: home address, not required!)

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.


Step 2. Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.

Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- or even know where you could get someone's dream pure bred basset hound for free -- do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Mmm...still in recovery from the crazy Halloween party, the fantastic time at the California Academy of Sciences, 6 hours of Killer Bunnies, and a day of being amazingly lazy (I even had a gourmet nap!) with sporatic cleaning.

I've resolved myself to try and blog every day this month for National Blogging Day but we all know how incredibly busy I tend to get, so we shall see how long I can last!

Also, I wanted to flail over the all the pamphlets I received from snowqueenofhoth because OH MY GOD!!! How I love them so and aslkjf;alsfk I've been flipping through them all and just...a;skjf;alskjf I WISH I WAS THERE FOR EACH OF THE SHOW/CONCERT!!! Shige's solow show pamphlet is ridiculously big (as big as the Dream Boys 2008 pamphlets) and Nakamaru's cracks me up while Ueda's is so damn pretty. I may end up doing a list of pamphlets I have just to keep track of them all! *___* And Tsubasa's is amazing.

Okay, off to bed I go.

He looked so good last night! He even had a pipe to blow smoke at the beginning of TABOO!

and then him rapping a Snoop Dogg song during his solo intro during the dance break into Six Senses had Shabz and I flailing so hard and dancing our asses off like mad women. The four obaachans sitting behind us were COMPLETELY amused. Also, they were HUGE Jin fans. One of them pulled out a billion Jin uchiwas! It was amazing.

alskfjas;lfk I don't think I'm even coherent this morning to even begin describing how awesome it was!!!

So many things have happened in the past 3 days!

ngày thứ bảy - I flew to LA in the morning. Little did I realize that my terminal was not connected to Cara's terminal and was really at the opposite side. So, with about 40 minutes to spare, I walked to her terminal. :D Then we were picked up by karinberry and hung out in Little Tokyo! We met up with ilanabean42, her sister, and her crazy friend (HI!) for more hanging out before checking into our hotel. Btw, the Miyako Hotel rocks! Heated toilet seats and region-free dvd player allowed us to relax and giggle over great concerts! saturnianlove joined us after her long drive and we giggled some more with her.

We met up with peroxidepest17 in the evening after an adventure in getting LOST. I showed my mettle in the driver's seat by keeping up with karinberry. XD After dinner, it was KARAOKE time in K-town. Lots of fun! Especially if you know all the hand movements and hip thrusting. Daite, Daite Senorita! *hip swivels*


chủ nhật - We woke up and had a leisurely morning of getting ready before heading down for a brunch. Did some quick last minute shopping after checking out of the hotel. Sadly, we had to part and thus began losing people. Said goodbye to saturnianlove at the parking structure, then ilanabean42 at the train station, and to karinberry & pastdazed at my terminal. <3 It was almost teary for me and then we resolved to do this at least once a year! :D With me planning it again. ;-)

I then flew home. rightsock was kind enough to pick me up and take me straight to the Fanime meeting, in which I was immediately pulled into some quick but important meetings. Left at 5:30pm and came home. Crashed out for ages. XD All that excitement, y0.


ngày thứ hai - Today was catch-up day. I caught up on sleep and was totally late. I had a lot of work I still need to catch up on. I saw previews of KAT-TUN's Don't U Ever Stop PV in bad fancam quality. I took over jesummary (next post goes up tomorrow night!). And I found some time tonight to help my kuya and his fiancee do the invitations during our weekly Dancing With the Stars night. :D

Now I still have a bunch of things to do and I'll try to get to them tomorrow! I've been super busy lately and have been SO BAD at being a good friend online despite being that social butterfly. XD I'll do them tomorrow! My bed is calling out my name! Hope everyone is doing well and NOT STRESSING OUT LIKE I AM. a;fkja;slfkjas;lf 15 more days!!!

Because I am going to the East Coast at the end of April and get to see as many cool people as I can!

I'm flying into Baltimore on April 24 in the late afternoon. mousaPi is picking me up and maxine_chan is going to meet up with us for dinner. ANYONE IN THE AREA IS WELCOME TO JOIN IN. :D

Then April 25th is Koyamamama's recital!

AND THEN, ON APRIL 26th IS NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!! So mousaPi, Koyamamama, and I are going to meet up with marksy to head into NYC. I wanna meet everyone in NYC who can make it! I'm looking at you, tinyangl, procreational, phonestrap!!! Cia-chan says she'll make time for me! :D ANYONE ELSE? LET ME KNOW.

There's more but really, I want to do a fun fandom dinner where we can talk all we want about hot JE idols, non-JE idols, and heck, even KPOP idols. Yes, that means I am talking about DBSK/SuJu/SE7EN/Big Bang/Epik High/SS501/Shinhwa/HOT KOREAN IDOLS, y0. XD

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS. Because once this trip is over, it's off to Los Angeles to hang out with some more fabulous people! *BEAMS*
