.......man, I wish I didn't have to work today.

I got some pretty great music over the weekend. The new india.arie cd as well as Corrinne Bailey Rae. Basked in some awesome soul music and jazzy sounds. I know, I know. Something that wasn't w-inds. for a change. XD But I did get the godkid addicted to the ageha concert version of Time Machine on youtube. XD He watched it 5 times straight. *is a proud godmommy*

And I had an amusing WoW story involving the godkid. As you may know, godkid has just turned 3 and is currently attending pre-school where the parents are around and the kiddies interact with each other. Godkid also loves playing WoW in his parents' or my laps. He's a smart kid and goes around boppin' on things with his fists in Shadowglen or something, never interacting with other people.

Welllll. One day, this kid was trying to bully my godson. So he calls out for his mom and goes "Mommy, can you sheep him?" I DIED LAUGHING. DIED. of utter laughter. His mom was so embarrassed because the bully's mom comes over and asks "What did you son mean by sheep?" She goes, "Well, my son wants me to polymorph your son because he's being a big bully and won't leave him alone." The bully's mom looked confused and she probably didn't know the meaning of polymorph, so she went over to her son and tells him to stop or else my godkid's mom was going to do a Very Bad Thing to him.

*sporfles*

And this song (a little pain by Olivia Inspi'Reira) is so freakin' beautiful, I can't stop listening to it.

:\ my burn itches and hurts with ghostly pain.

I envy you who have today and tomorrow off. Lucky bitches.

*coughshacks*

So my lungs are still convinced they'll be making a quick escape through my esophagus some time soon, I've managed to keep them in their proper place. Bleah. That will teach me not to go carousing through the streets of San Francisco on a stormy afternoon. Although I did it with the maid of honor for my best friend's younger sister's wedding gift. (I'm in the bridal party and thus, Cat [the bride's maid of honor and youngest sister] and I went around her school area which is by Japantown to find scrapbooking things for the gift) So not on.

I get so sick from the weather. It would be all stormy and rainy for the day and then clear, crisply cold the next afternoon that is followed up by more wind and rain. :-(

But as I am slowly, slowly getting better, I don't feel as much as a bum. The weekend was a nice one. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rightsock for the massage on Saturday night, my sleep was much better. [livejournal.com profile] rogue_ravnos's tortilla soup was so yummy! Great times with all.

Sunday was one of WoW. ^__^ Played my alt all day long and made 5-cheese tortellini pasta that was quick and super easy! Then I leveled up once or twice on the druid. Convinced Kenchi to come by for a little LAN party and made arrangements with another couple of friends to teach them how to waltz for their wedding. *note to self: must go and learn more steps. or learn more salsa/passe doble/rumba/something! or bellydancing. *nods* bellydancing sounds good. or Hawaiian.*

Oh!, [livejournal.com profile] etoilenoir30, I won my auction for Queen of Diamonds. *happy dance* I had to check my phone to see if I won the bid or not. *is a dork* I'll bring an imp for you to smell how good it is at the next meeting! (I deny I'm a huge addict. I'm just a little addicted. :-P )

As of late, I've been bad at catching up on HP fic. I've been deviating (or should I say, returning?) back to my comfort Naruto, Gravitation, Bleach, Hikaru no Go, Prince of Tennis, & Weiss Kruez fics. It seems so many people have been leaving HP fandom and it makes me a bit sad but I can relate to some of the reasons why. But then again, I like to know people not only for their fic but also for who they are as a person. But that said, I do love my comfort fics. Any recs for novel-length fics in whatever fandom?

My plans for the week? to get rid of this damn cough!!!! *expells it!* erm. spring cleaning and working on the wedding scrapbook with a dash of private dance lessons and cooking experiments. I'll probably find some time this week to feng shui my room. I want to redo a good portion of my room and maybe the rest of the house. We'll see how lazy I'm feeling. ^_~

What's new with you?
jemz: (Yuki - no words)
Oh WoW. Why must you die on an error while I am running off to get a flight path somewhere!?

Why must it take forever to load up my character so I can happily slay all the baddies and forget that I must work long, long hours to recover from a single mistake my coworker made? WHY?

Damn you, new patch.

My Priest is not happy with you. She will keep all her leather and donate it another time to the war effort. I will go and get her drunk off of Merlot instead of that Lager the Dwarves like to drink. And then you will work and I can finish leveling up my priest and then all will be well.

Done because I've been prodded by some people. :-P Happy, now?

How it works:

Step One

- Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Step Three
my list )

By the way, for all you WoW addicts out there, I'm coming back to play. Unfortunately, someone wiped out my characters so I have to start anew. I'll be on there soon!
