Bonjour!!!

jemzSo I forgot to write and say that I'm taking a long holiday (well, only 2 weeks worth) in Europe.
Things are fairly stable at home so the BF and I went ahead with our Eurotrip.
We had a lovely time in London with Shabz, Shirley, & Teej where they showed us around and had a marvelous time filled with laughter and fun. We saw Big Ben and the House of Parliament, got intimate at Trafalgar Square with lots of things going on, got a fleece at Uniqlo because the entire time, I WAS FREEZING!!!, and saw tons of beautiful, famous sights. But most of all, I got lots of hugs and time with my girls.
Now we're in Paris and we've done so many sights already! My feet are hurting but it's so worth it.
I had one of the best days of my life when we went to Versailles. All that glitter and gold and Murakami Takashi exhibit with gorgeous paintings all led to a very satisfied tour. The gardens are wonderful and I will always remember with great fondness because that is where the BF PROPOSED!!!!!!! I said yes!
I've been so happy and I keep looking at the ring at random times and smiling. And smiled some more at him. Especially when he takes pictures of all the traffic signs and things. (He's a traffic engineer. *facepalms* All I do is laugh at him and shake my head fondly.)
Ack, now we're off to Notre Dame and Saint-Chapelle. :D Gotta see the rest of Paris before we leave for Venice tomorrow night. :D

Date: 2010-10-01 08:05 pm (UTC)hahhaha but that's a memorable proposal. Mine just said screw it after trying a few times. We were finally all alone and didn't have anyone to witness his efforts. The Eiffel Tower had way too many people at the top and no room to propose.
I like this way better since the gardens were gorgeous!
