jemzAllergies still suck. Been sneezing my butt off all day today. Hot and everything is blooming like their lives depended on it….pollen blown every which way. Caused major misery in the past few days to everyone I know with allergies, myself included.
Today is a better day not that it is ending. Yesterday I was just sick. Slept most of the day. Went to Kachang’s house to watch American Idol. Heh…fun. Went home to sleep some more. I didn’t do anything but that. Sheesh, I was so lazy. Being sick has some perks after all.
Today was all about needles and shots. And I hated every single damn moment of it.
I went in for a physical and tb test for the mentoring program I am volunteering for. Got a fingerprick for cholesterol test. Near the end of the physical, I got blood taken to be tested for immunity to mumps, measles, rubella, and hepatitas. Then came the tb test…stupid needle….i had band aids all over my arms. Felt like a pin cushion.
Then came the icky part. I had to get a root canal because I had cracked my tooth. It sucked raw eggs. Since it was the last tooth in my upper right mouth….it took a whole lotta shots to numb the area. The worst one was the one he had to do on the inside. It took every ounce of control not to scream. My body was clenched like I was in the middle of a vise. I couldn’t scream even if I wanted to. He had his hands in my mouth and it was held open like a book. Sucked raw eggs.
Went through all that scared. But my endodontist was cool. He has movies that u can watch while he’s working on you. It distracts you from what he’s doing and makes the time go by MUCH faster. So after all that….i got to go home and crash.
After waking up, I took my sis to trader joe’s to buy snacks. Took her home so she could go study at border’s. then took me mum to exchange thermometers at walmart. Went home only to leave again for starbucks and chillin’ at kachang’s for American Idol. After all that, was gonna play cards but we started watching “the next top model” with tyra banks. It was pretty interesting….then I went home to crash. Gotta be at work at 7am tomorrow for the cleaners.

Date: 2003-05-21 07:10 am (UTC)it's pretty hot in the bay area, kimmy. the last few days have been in the low 90s, high 80s. since it just rained a few weeks ago, with the sun beating down on everyone, the weeds are popping out of every crack they can grow out of. It's been pretty windy as well, so the pollen just flies everywhere in the valley. it just seemed like we skipped spring. we were all freezing a few weeks ago and now it's hot like summer in august. wierd...i swear california weather is WIERD.
