This weekend was one of the best i've had in a while.

It started out on Friday afternoon with my flight out to LA to hang out with my girls for the weekend. Kimmie picked me up and off we went back to hers and Courtney's new place to finish making dinner. We had some great times after a bottle of Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay was cracked open. Courtney picked up some extras that we needed. :-D My cousins stopped by for dinner and it was YUMMY!!! Met some new peeps and had some great times. Ended up at a bar called Mot that played trance all night but i was TIRED (since i was up since 5am) and we all just wanted to crash into a nice comfy bed. We went home and stayed up a bit to do some girl talk before oblivion claimed us.

Saturday was all about shopping. Pure and simple. We had yummy Italian food (great thin crust smoked salmon pizza!!!) and settled in for some serious shopping. Did a lot of damage to our wallets and we went to get some gelato to soothe the pain. We wanted to pamper ourselves a little and we all got a mani/pedi. The girls got a french mani with pink/lilac colors while i just did a polish with a dark burgandy red. After all the pampering, we went home to start getting ready for a night of partying.

We met up with some of Kimmie's classmates before heading out to the Skybar in West Hollywood. It was nice and posh, with mattresses and pillows all over for people to lounge on. Because it was an open bar area, there was a small pool and heat lamps for those of us who were chilled by the night air. Let's just say we saw a lot of plastic and fake hoochiness that shouldn't be dressing the way some did. Had a lots of fun. Ended back to the friends' house to pick up the car and grab some food at Jack in the Box. I forgot my contacts and sunglass case at the friend's house so we doubled back to grab it when some drama happened. I'll save that for another time. We got back at 4am and crashed.

Woke up at 10am and got up to get ready for another day of chilled fun. My cousins came by again to hang out with me. We went for some yummy crepes before heading to another outdoor mall to buy tickets to a movie ("Raise Your Voice"). The boys didn't really want to see it...(actually, ALBERT didn't want to see but caved in because Richard said he'd watch it with me since I don't come down to LA very often and I had other powerful weapons in my arsenal. *smiles innocently*) i liked the movie despite it's predictableness. Oliver James is adorable. Parts of the story made me cry since it's a painful part that i could relate to.

After the movie, we spent a bit more time with my cousins before we parted ways, since i needed to get back and pack my mess up before going to the airport. We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Food was pretty good but we were sitting at an outdoor table that was between two smoking groups. That was the only awful part. Because of all that, i developed a slight cold as an allergic reaction. Got back to the condo and packed. The girls dropped me off at the airport and on my merry little way i went.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ant_in_my_pants for picking me at the airport...even if my flight was delayed and you got to find out how long to do a complete circle of the airport. *smiles*

Did my fun end there? Nope.

I got to pick up my tickets to a concert that night. So on Monday, after an uneventful day at work (thank goodness!!!), my friend picked me up and away we went to SF for the PuffyAmiYumi concert at the Fillmore. It was a fun filled night, full of some really good music. We went to eat afterwards and got back to the South bay around midnite.

And thus, ended my weekend.

I had such great fun, hanging out with everyone this past weekend that i want to do it again....after some considerable time recuperating, of course!

Wow...that wasn't as long of an entry i thought it would be!

Now I'm just craving some good fanfiction, sleep, music, fresh smoke-free air, and some salad. :-D

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Now you've got my attention about the drama, I definetly wanna hear about that sometime ;p
Hehe, I actually want to see Raise your Voice, but I know that Terry would never go with me, I'll have to rent it when it comes out.

Yup...Mani/Pedi was a nice experience that i like to do once a month. it's even in my budget!

As for the drama....let's just say we watched some cops handcuffed someone from our group and had a very scary experience in the streets of marina del rey.

Raise Your Voice was a cutesy, typical pre-teen movie. i liked it for the music and Oliver James *drools*. the storyline was more typical but it made me tear up several times. it was weird watching it because before and after, we were listening to Hillary Duff's new album that i had bought several days prior to the trip and some of the songs used in the movie were on her album.

So needless to say, we had fun listening to certain songs over and over again. :-D You should definately rent it. I'll probably buy it when it comes out on dvd...since i love sappy movies with lots of singing in it.
