jemz*yawn* i'm sleepy...but i'm still fighting that losing battle with insomnia. dammit.
so what did i do today? work, work, work....then i baked!!! I wasn't kidding when I asked if anyone wanted to help me taste test. I stuck myself on a diet of "resist tasting anything i make and let others tell me if my skills are any good in baking". I went and tried two new cookie recipes. Well, they're more like bars of yummy goodness than cookies. I did "Easy Butterscotch Bars" and "Cheesecake Bars" tonite. Both were pretty easy recipes. Didn't take as much time as I normally do when making my chocolate chip yogurt cookies or my favorite New York Cheesecake. If people like them, then I will make some of them during the Christmas season. I'm planning on trying out the Peppermint Cheesecake recipe that I have as well...along with the Chocolate Peppermint Bars.
I'll probably have an urge to make some Trifle or Torte later on this year....maybe when it gets closer to Thanksgiving or something. :-D But some of today's goodies will go to a friend for her birthday. it'll be a few days late but hey, at least she'll get some chocolate cravings satisfied. :-D
I didn't get a chance to plop down any story ideas that i've been getting lately but hopefully I'll be able to work on something. I'm not sure which fandom I want to write in.....a PoT fic with Kirihara and Shinji seems interesting....or maybe a Naruto one. I'm not sure if I want them to be one shot efforts or a multi-chaptered one. I know for sure my original idea that got me into trouble in the first place will want to be written....if work allows. Work has claimed my entire span of lucidity that I've experienced this past month. Hopefully, work will ease up soon. I've never written anything before other a few poems here and there and a random shot at a particular scene that struck my fancy. normally, I prefer to read the witty writings of others so doing this project of mine will be an interesting experience. Any one want to give me tips?
other than that.....this entry has been a running dialogue of my incoherent mind. I think it's time to get a nice cup of tea and divvy up the baked goodies for easy consumption. Then maybe the moon will let me crash and win the Sandman over to my side for a while.

cuevafamily, I know I still owe you cookies and other yummy baked goodness. I will make you a bunch of yummy baked goodness (cheesecake included) when you get your diva booty out here along with a huge hug of happiness. I'll *try* to send some out to ya for xmas this year....hopefully they'll stay fresh enough for your family's enjoyment. :-D (sorry, can't send the cheesecake. :-P )
to my lovely cousins.....i'll make something for the next time we *all* get together. I gotta fatten you gals up. :-D
