Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post comment about it. I think I need some distraction from all the stress and work I've been doing lately.

Umm...I don't know how much you don't like to give out RL details like that, but I'd be interested to hear a little bit about where you went to college and what you studied and fun things you did there. (I suppose you can leave out the where part and just talk about the rest if you prefer.)

Ahahha...I don't mind since a third of my flist I know in RL or is related to me. XD

I went to UC Davis (Go Aggies!) for a degree in Microbiology but ended up with one in Community and Regional Development. I I did a lot of volunteer work towards the end of my college life and it's never really changed.

I partied a lot. >.> Joined a greek society which influenced a lot of choices I made when I first started out. There was a lot of drama but I learned a lot from the experiences since I was incredibly sheltered growing up. I grew a lot.

Davis is sort of boring but I loved life there. I met some of my favorite people in the world there. It's a quiet town but it's a good one to study in. Partying was more fun outside when we traveled to Berkeley or San Francisco.

I think I do regret not taking that Tractor class while there. Learning how to drive a tractor could be great fun!

THIS AKANISHI FELLOW IS VERY MESMERIZING. ESPECIALLY WHEN HE MOVES HIS HIPS IN CERTAIN WAYS AND HITS REALLY HIGH NOTES.

I just had it cut! On Friday, actually. It's about 3 inches below my shoulders, layered with short chunky bangs that sort of make me look younger. XD It's straight and black/dark brown. I haven't dyed it in a year or so but I want to do color tips in bright red again. That was really fun and cool.

If you were a superhero, what powers would you like to have, and how would you want to use them?

Maybe something that make everyone hug and not argue and dance wildly in the streets. Or write me lots of fic. *nods*

Or maybe have that superpower that makes delicious and nutritious food appear so I can feed all the hungry.

Or Tegoshi's power of ultracuteness to get away with everything and/or have people do whatever I want.

TEA. I love tea. I like how soothing it is. I used to hate drinking plain water. So drinking tea was my alternative to drinking water. I liked the various flavors and how some of them made me feel healthier or more alert. I don't particularly use sweeteners other than a bit of honey.

Drinking a cup of tea allowed me to meditate on my day or just clear my mind. The first cup is always savored. I take my time and just enjoy the peace I found in drinking tea. It's soothing in that it's a tiny, daily ritual that doesn't require thought but just relaxation and enjoyment of the moment. Something that is normally lacking in the rest of the day as I rush about doing work or the endless social things I do.

I love coffee/tea breaks because they feel decadent to me. Something in my hectic life that allows me to sit and observe the world. A time where I don't have to be witty or funny or particularly talkative.

There were a lot of really nice days this year but the one that sticks out the most in my mind is spending time with my best friend for my birthday. It was absolutely lovely to see her and gab all day long like we used to. We shopped and had tea at the Fairmont Hotel and shopped some more. We ended the evening at a fun party.

Another more recent one is spending time with some good friends at the Asian Art Museum for archangelkhaos' birthday. Throw in some delicious sushi and it was absolutely lovely.
