From the Land of Shake and Bake
Nov. 1st, 2007 07:43 pmSouthern California gets all the fires while Northern California just shakes. Had another baby earthquake yesterday. A baby one of 3.7. But everything was all good for Halloween!
So I took fishbot (aka godson) out trick or treating for the first time. He's only 4 and was pretty excited to go for candy.
We got his costume on and went out for a nice walk around the neighborhood. He held my hand as we went from house to house. As we walked, I told him that he could squeeze my hand whenever he was scared and I would b there to protect him. As we approached the first house with a lit porch, he squeezed my hnd tightly right after I said that. I held his hand all the way up to the door and then he managed to get candy. After the first house, he said, "Auntie J, that wasn't scary at all!"
He had his mask and hood up and couldn't see all that well and thus, fell down the porch steps a few times but he was fine.
Then we went to a fairly creepy house that had a mini graveyard in their yard and lots of skeletons. A part of the porch was barricaded with fake barb wire with a guy in a skeleton hoodie and a scary mask. He was watching fishbot and moved slowly, trying not to scare him. But fishbot caught sight of him and was standing still, totally scared. I distracted fishbot by leading him to ring the doorbell and get some candy while the other guy slipped away out of sight. As we left, he came back out. Fishbot didn't see him but afterwards, he gripped my hand and said, "Auntie J, that was a scary house! I was scared!" His mom and I comforted him as we went to the next house.
He managed to get a lot of candy and had lot of fun. We met up with his cousins and they took him for another half hour of trick-or-treating.
Then we took some pictures. If I was smart, I would have made him do the cute Junsu pose. But here, have some pictures of my godson who went as a sheep.

ISN'T HE ADORABLE?! :D
Also, I am doing that blogging every day thing for all of November as mousaPi works on her NaNoWriMo. :Dv Expect me to spam.

stealborrow a little kid for Halloween to go T&T-ing with so we feel less awkward traipsing about the streets for candy. XDno subject
Date: 2007-11-02 06:39 pm (UTC)Haha, sorry to nitpick, but sheep is a plural word. Individually it is either a ram or a ewe, or for the young, lamb. *dork*
