My tummy is so full of water and it's hot outside. D:

♥ LUMOS is around the corner!!! only a week from tomorrow away!!! I'll stick up my iternary up sometime next or so for all to peruse.

♥ I am thinking of selling some of my unloved imps of BPAL. But I am being lazy in this heat.

♥ Ditto the reason above in regards to re-arranging my room.

♥ Watched F&F3: Tokyo Drift with [livejournal.com profile] sandpanther on Sunday. I had to watch Han kick ass one more time. And his gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous orange RX7 with the Veilside kit. The only thing better is Takahashi Ryousuke to show up with his beautiful RX7 FC and all will be peachy. *____________* Went to the Mountain View Obon Festival afterwards. Konked out incredibly early afterwards due to sunsickness. Too much sun. D: I have wierd tan lines now.

♥ I got super excited about the Japan Trip next year! I am sooooooo geeking out with [livejournal.com profile] sandpanther over the Initial D race courses that we may see. Plus, shrines, onsens, shopping plans, galore! Anyone been to Japan that have suggestions on what to see? Or their favorite place to see?

♥ I got to talk to [livejournal.com profile] shabzilla on the phone yesterday. She sounds absolutely adorable and spazztastic! I can't wait to see her next Wentzday for Lumos!

♥ I am loving the new windows! They are pretty and white and they block out those damn annoying birds that chirp outside my windows and the inconsiderate neighbor who likes to mow the lawn at 8am when I am sleeping in for the first time all week long. Waking up at 5:30am everyday makes me long for some time to sleep in, especially when I go to bed super late after giggling on the phone with [livejournal.com profile] shinigamitabris & [livejournal.com profile] sariel_pariedhl at night.

♥ I'm going to get an iPod this weekend! Yes, I'm going to join in the Apple revolution but I refuse to ditch my beloved iRiver behind. *pets her Keitai* Now I'll be able to stare at the screen, watching Paradox, and try to practice the dance moves without making a tremendous fool of myself in front of others

♥ I should get Mom the new Arashi cd. And Fly to the Sky. and Lee Jun Ki's new cd. I'm only willing to supply her kdrama/jdrama/kpop/jpop habits as far as my tastes go.

♥ Tomato Pretz and C.C. Lemonade is yummy. So is that Peach water I go. *licks lips*

How is your week coming along so far?

I'm not sure which ones yet. I have to go through my imps and see. I just got my Dragon Moon order and that was lovely and so I have a ton of imps that are just lying about, untested.

So I may make a list of the ones I don't want tonight or those I can decant since I can decant from my LEs and post it up tomorrow for all to see. Craptop is having a feud with the wireless and doesn't love me enough to have peace talks with it. ;_;

But I'll splash it up and let you know!!! >.> I need spending money for Lumos.

DEFINATELY CALL ME. Or I'll call you and flail with everyone around me from my Valley Girl accent to Shabz' cute British to goldie's loveable one! I wish you could come as well!!!! T_T

Anyone been to Japan that have suggestions on what to see? Or their favorite place to see?

What cities are you going to? Just Tokyo, or do you think you'll go other places?

In Tokyo, visit Shibuya. The crossing just outside Shibuya station is so busy and there are just so many people. Good shopping too. Sensō-ji, also. It's a temple, but there is also a small market near by where you can buy trinkets and souviners. All of the guys in my group bought swords, daggers and throwing stars there (and almost had customs take them away). If it's in spring time, you'll get to see plenty of sakura blossoms, giving opportunity for pretty pictures. We didn't go to Tokyo Tower, but instead when to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory. The view from the top... the city just stretches on forever.

If you're willing to travel further than Tokyo, go to Hiroshima. It's a beautiful city and the Peace Memorial Park is moving. Miyajima can be reached from Hiroshima by train/ferry, but be careful of the deer, they'll eat any food you leave unattended. I have proof in photos!

In Nara, the Tōdai-ji has a giant Buddha statue, and I mean giant. It's huge. (Here) Copied from wikipedia: One of the supporting posts in the Great Buddha Hall has a hole that has been bored through the base. People try to pass through it and legend has it that if one can pass through it one will be blessed with enlightenment. --- You really should try. It helps having people on each end of the hole to push and pull you through. Everyone in my group got through, although, I doubt we've been enlightened. Nara Deer Park is fun, unless you've got your period, then the deers flock towards you.

Kinkaku-ji (Golden Temple) in Kyoto. Even though you can't go right up to the temple, it's still amazing. It's made out of gold. There was another as well, but I can't remember the name, all I can recall are the flowers and beautiful trees... and a group of old Japanese women giving us money and food because we (Sarah and I) were Westerners and spoke to them and asked for a photo.

We travelled by shinkansen (bullet train) to the different cities... and we walked a lot. And ran a fair bit too. We were always running late. Public transport can get you anywhere.

Now I want to go back! XD Next I'll be pulling out the photo album and staring at the pictures mournfully.

Oooh! We're flying into Tokyo and then headin' out to Kyoto the next day for a week. Then we'll be coming back to Tokyo for the following week.

While out in Kyoto, we (most likely me and [livejournal.com profile] seshat) will try to make a side trip to Osaka to go shopping. We've got Hiroshima and a few other small towns lined up to go to as well, so the Peace Memorial Park is definately somewhere on our itenarary.

In Tokyo, I am definately going to Shibuya, Harujuku, and Yoyoigi Park because I will be shopping for trendy clothes. I think I am the trendy fashionista one in the group. I wanted to go to a bar or club when there but I'm not sure if anyone in my group is up for it. :(

We're going in the springtime so the sakura blossoms will be nice and in full bloom. A third of my party have been to Japan many, many times and so I'm lucky to have them guide me along. Although I am trying to be brave and pluck up enough courage to go and get lost by myself. I must teach myself the kanas so I can tryyyy to communicate.

I think I'm the only Asian one in the party so I am preparing to get a lot of Japanese thrown at me. All I can do is give them a blank stare and say I'm American. XD

I'm already so excited about the trip. When did you go and what were your favorite memories of Japan?

I found that quite a few people had at least some grasp of English while I was there. Some guys in Hiroshima tried to flirt with us in English. XD It was cute, but they sort of failed.

The same guys mistook Cynthia as being Japanese because she's Asian too... but we cleared it up. Blank stares always work. But, you only really need a basic grasp of the language to cope for a short trip (if you're going with other people who also know Japanese that is)

I went two years ago, in year 10 with a group of students from all different schools. We're acutally having a meet up next weekend. I haven't seen them since the trip, so it's going to be interesting.

The whole trip was memorable. I love Japan, and so I had a wonderful time... It was the first trip I'd gone on overseas without my family, and I really liked the independance. The funniest moments would have been because of the people I went with. The twins (male twins, by the way) and Sarah pretending to be Charlie's Angels in Disney Land. Sarah and I winning big Snoopy plushies because the assistants at the arcade told us what to do, and where to aim so we could grab them. Pius doing karaoke to Brittany Spears, his dance mooves had us rolling on the floor. XD

I'm going to go back again sometime. Not sure when, but I will, most likely after I finish school and Uni.

Lumos is the Potter con, isn't it? That ought to include some interesting discussions, since it's the first gathering of its type held after the MsScribe debacle.

It is. I wonder if people are going to even discuss the MsScrive debacle. I know a lot of people I'm meeting up with are real people (since I've met a good majority of them already!) but I hope things will go okay.

I wonder what sort of discussions will be had about it.
