more shots again!!!
Jun. 11th, 2003 08:01 pmgrrr...yesterday was a day full of shots, again. i still hate shots. i went to my dentist to go get some dental work done. man, after a while, my lips were sooo chapped despite putting on chapstick and vaseline! sheesh. then i headed off to the clinic to get my depo shot. that hurt like no other!!! the medical assistant just stuck that needle into my arm!!!! *wham* like that, and out it goes. it left a huge bruise surrounding the area. it still hurts! :-( not cool. i think i'm gonna complain next time. i dont' want anymore bruises!
after all that...i came home to have lunch with my mom...who wasn't home. so i just sat online for a while before goin' off to the doc's to redo my tb shot for the mentoring program. *sigh* things i go through....*grumble* anyways...i got to the office around 1:35pm and the office was closed! i thought it was closed from noon to 1pm but apparently, it's closed from 1pm to 2pm. ah well...i walked over to tapioca express for a peach snow bubble with coconut jelly. i'm treating myself to something yummy after what i went through in the morning! then to kill more time, i headed over to walgreen's across the street to meander up and down the aisles. i bought some cough medicine for that stupid cough that won't go away. i looked at my cell to check the time. 2:02pm. good. time to head back. so i went back there, and the door was locked! what the hell!? then the medical assistant/front desk lady helped me and gave me the tb test. i hate needles but i did watch her stick that needle into my arm and inject the fluid. i swear, the skin around the needle started puffing up and turning white! i was gonna panic and ask why it did that this time around and not the first time. i was given some lame excuse. ah well...i went home and just napped the entire day away.
katrina called and asked if i wanted to play tennis. since i just woke up, i said no...and proceeded to go back to sleep. heheh..nothing comes in between me and sleep...with the exception of boytoy and emergencies. i ended up meeting her, kenny, and richard for cards at her place. xavier stopped by and we all played uno while watching "10 things i hate about you". cool movie. heath ledger is pretty cute! went home and back to bed i go. i figure i needed lots more sleep to be a decent person the next day...otherwise the grumpy me will come out and terrorize the store! lol
woke up to a cloudy sky. i hope it rains. i'm probably the only one to ask for it. but the clouds are moving soo fast this evening. i'm lookin' forward to some rain and smelling a cleansed atmosphere. everything smells so fresh after a rainfall. the winds blow the smog right out of the valley and it's clear again.
went to work at the buttcrack of dawn, again. the only good thing about that is that i get to leave work earlier than everyone else. i was kept busy by finishing up all the markdowns for the start of the season finale. when my boss came in, i started doing all the marketing for the store. man, i hate ladders. did i ever tell you i was afraid of heights? and i had to get up on a freakin' ladder to change all the signs in the shadowboxes on the ledges above the clothes. took me FOREVER to do. i had to fix a sign that was 1/3 centimeter too long. so i cut it down a box cutter. as i was doing so, i received a papercut. d'oh. slapped a bandaid and kept going. i don't want anything to get into that cut...no matter how small. no scars!!! as i was putting the shelf signs in the front half of the store, i got another paper cut. great....and i had to throw away all the paper in the shoeboxes. have u ever wondered why they put so much damn paper in those boxes? just for shoes? women are just gonna throw that paper away and it's such a waste of trees. the kenneth cole shoes have way too much paper in them. grrrr.
anyways...wrapped my day at work and sped home! i was starving. had a sandwich during my break. but i was still hungry. *sigh* gotta stop eating so much!!! i'm trying to lower my calorie count...so far i've been pretty good until yesterday and today. man, that shot always gets me everytime. i feel hungrier than usual. that sucks!!!
so i spent the rest of my afternoon and evening online, watching music videos on launch and downloading the songs i like. i'm going to pop in a movie and then work on my scrapbook. i just need to add journaling to two trips and i'm done with them until i can get my hands on new pics that people have. *big cheesy smile* **hint hint**
i'm planning on baking some yummy cookies at pi6tails birthday bbq. if you want some, you have to pay me some money to donate to her gfc group for their project. if i owe you cookies, they are coming. *coughHOPEcough* hehehe...as for the rest of the night, i'm gonna go to sleep early (surprising, eh?) so i can sleep in tomorrow. get my fat booty up for a walk in the morning and some ab exercises. gotta get in shape for a bikini! or for the performance!!! yikes!
i forgot to mention this.
my big bro jimmy is a new daddy!!! he and his girlfriend, liz, are the proud parents of ethan tien-lung nguyen. he graced us with his presence on june 7, 2003 right before 10:30pm, weighing in at 7 lbs and 14.4 oz. He is 21.5 inches long. so yah, big long baby. heheh...that's what their parents get. jimmy is a big guy...6 feet tall with a big head. :-D heheheh...i'll post the pictures up when i figure out to do that. :-D
