woke up totally miserable with allergies but very happy! i got to see my boytoy last nite...after a month of not seeing him...we practically flew into each other's arms with a special "i miss you a lot" kiss...hehehe...super happy now that i got my hugs. see? i'm such an easy person to please...hug me and i'll "rub yoo roooooong tyme". i got lots of loving hugs...making me feel cherished and that him working so darn much is okay....even tho i hate it with a passion. it takes him away from quality time with me! but i understand he has to make the $$$ to support his car habit....lol
anyways...the rest of the day went by pretty quick. had to work at the buttcrack of dawn for the third day in a row...i got to the mall 5 min. before 7am and i see at least 60 women in front of the doors of Nordstrom's...waiting for them to open so they can raid Nordie's half yearly sale for women and kids. man, they were offering donuts and coffee to the women...so being slick as i am, i mosied up and partook in a regular glazed donut. hehe...i didn't want coffee...but something sweet. i know, i know..donuts are bad for you....but it tasted so good while i was sitting at the desk and doing paperwork. little did i know that it was to be the only thing i ate until 2:40pm.....because it was the first day of their sale and my store is next to it...we got a flood of people in, still wanting to shop. good thing my dm came..ehehhe...we put him to work in helping customers. thank goodness....then came the kicker...we got audited. D'OH!!! it was cool tho...*sigh* it was a busy and hectic day at work and i got to work an extra hour for OT with my DM's blessing...since he has to approve of it anyways...
after that..i came home, showered, and took off for katrina's place. Katrina and Gene were makin' dinner. Kenny and I played cards while they cooked....then Xavier came by for dinner and cards as well. it was a lot of fun. it reminded me of all the times we went to trammie's place for dinner with huy, doaner, flower, and the rest of my cousins to pig out on awesome food. of course, since i can't cook, i would always want to contribute with cookies or some other baked goods. i miss those days. we hang out, be lazy, eat great food, laugh, drink, joke around...always fun.
that's pretty much for my day. this week has been slightly busy but now i have two days off in a row!!! whoO hooo..been looking forward to them. i still have that pesky cough..but at least i can relax and just hang out. oh...i bought a cute hat at anne taylor loft on tuesday while hanging out with my coworker after work. she got a cute purse...i might just go back and get that fun purse i saw there...but i really like the hat. it's just too cute!
dad is feeling way better than he has the past few weeks. the antibiotics helped a lot. he still has a few more tests to undergo...but the prognosis is looking up.
it's just a happy day for me. i got hugs, kisses, good news, a new hat, and two days off! go me! now time to veg out at border's with a strawberry or peach italian soda. :-D
