Mmmmm. Good Tuesday, my lovelies. Hope you are all doing well today. It's been quite wet in sunny California and it's absolutely wonderful! Yeah yeah, you all think I'm strange for loving it but hey, I grew up partially in Texas and the current rainfall and distinct lack of thunderstorms is not fulfilling my little heart's desire of rolling thunder. But then again, I live near on the coast and I'm sure my best friend is hating me for saying that there's not enough rain or thunder since she has flashflood warnings at the moment. But I'm just thinking of all the lovely waterfalls I'm going to hike to as soon as the area gets a bit drier. *_*
Wheeee! Narnia and Brokeback Mountain come out on DVD today! I'll be out to buy them later during lunch! And AIM is being a total prat and not connecting me at allllll. Reach me by Y!M. That should stay steady. :-D
So the weekend was fun and too quick. Saturday I had a little shopping expedition for shoes and ended up buying my sis a top and nothing really significant on the shoes for bestest's younger sis' wedding. Saturday was also my father's birthday, so I took the entire family out to eat to celebrate. Had Thai food since that is currently my dad's favorite cuisine other than Vietnamese. Then got ready to go out to hang out with Kachang and Co. but she never called me back to let me know where to meet up. *headdesk* She called back at 10:30pm to say where but by then, I was already peeved and over at my Kuya's to play some W.o.W. and do a run of Zul'Farrak. We stayed up late and had a pretty good run of the instance except for the computer problems the comp I was on had. But it was all fixed and we did pretty good. Got my Carrot on a Stick trinket and all is right in my world. Even leveled twice in a night!
Sunday, I slept in (boy, did I needed that!) before waking up and heading back out to the mall to check out makeup for the wedding (we're doing our own makeup/hair) and hang out with my friend Marq (who's also my fav. makeup artist and does my makeup for free all the time!). I ended up buying some really pretty colors and a nice foundation that makes my skin look super nice. Met up with
happyhien, Bobby, & Matt to head up to Oakland for some Chicken & Waffles. It was SO YUMMY. *_* It's the House of Chicken & Waffles. Matt grew up on the stuff and I found that I do not like grits at all. They put butter on top of it and it melted before I was able to take it off which in turn made the grits taste like butter. >.> But I decided I didn't like grits. Period. I also never liked hot oatmeal, too. But the waffle and chicken! *_* I think I'm going to go and get a wafflemaker for lazy Sunday mornings. *nodsnods*
We went to FarLeaves in Berkeley for some tea. Mmmm. Yummy tea. Picked up some Chysanthemum tea as well as Apricot Tea (a black tea). We also planned a trip to the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Francisco this upcoming Sunday for those who want to tag along. We're going to stop by another teahouse to try more tea. Maybe a wine bar as well.
Oh...for those who know far more about Japanese culture than I. Do you know where I can get a kanzashi set? I want to wear it for whenever Con Ops does the Kimono day and I want to learn how to put my hair up with it before doing so. And do you think I can just wear it with different hairstyles in casual wear or would it be offensive? I figured out to do a hairstyle I liked with the hairsticks I got from my shopping excursion with
archangelkhaos and
rogue_ravnos. :-D I've been looking and it's always a two-piece set? Three? Just combs or hairsticks too? *clueless*
Being busy in RL is great and all but I do miss my online lovelies. Hope you are doing well. *snuggles*
P.S. Did I mention that I am watching Spiral? And that Asazuki Kousuke is so freakin' GUH! *_* heheh...I knew I would love him the best when I saw those pictures,
etoilenoir30 &
seshat!!! I definately want him on my badge!!! But why do the Blade Children constantly refer to Ayumu as "Narumi-otouto" when it's obvious that he's different from Narumi Kiyotaka (his genius, older brother). I think it's done to piss the watchers off (well...not all the watchers but it's pissing me off!) because it helps reinforce Ayumu's self-esteem & self-confidence by never saying his name or acknowledging that he is different and his own person. *rants*
P.P.S. To Shabz....I'm working on the second part. it's just going "blahblahblahCLENOblahblahblah" to me. XD
