Another Year, another set of Resolutions to create that will just fly out the door.
But this year will be different. I can just feel it in my bones.
Last year was wonderful and heartbreaking. Full of triumphs, new friends, celebrations, funerals, many tears, and despair. I haven't really discussed a whole lot of what's been happening to me simply because I feel like I'm whining or complaining or that nothing I have to say is of any importance. Although I do write down many things that are important to me, I am resolving to do some of the following:
a. Volunteer. I'm definately going to stay with Rock For Aids, spearheaded by the lovely
vanae12 and
happyhien but I am also going to help out with Fanime Con and perhaps another charity organization. I'm still feeling that need to do good in the my corner of the world.
b. Saving. Start saving up for trips. Australia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, NYC, Texas, Vancouver, and Cabo San Lucas are all being planned for the next two years. ^_^ Yeah....the travel-bug bit me hard.
c. Stay Healthy. As soon as my body kicks out the flu bug, I'm hitting the gym and start up my cardio kickboxing classes again. Need to look good in that bridesmaid dress in April! That also means, not working so much overtime (*glares at co-worker*) and getting enough sleep (yes, Jate, I still want you to get as much sleep as I do. :-P )
d. Love lustily. That means I'm going to appreciate everyone who comes into my life, tell my loved ones that I love/adore them, and enjoy every single moment that comes by. Because there's so much to do in life and only so much to do it. I don't want to move to the next stage without people saying "Yup. She knew how to enjoy every moment and appreciate everything that came her way." Sitting through way too many funerals just cemented this for me.
e. Learn new things. I'm going to learn how to dance hip hop and salsa. Because it's all that hip shaking, y0. Pretty mesmerizing.
f. Be more active in my rpgs and not slack off. Erm. Yeah. I am a slacker. *shifty eyes*
g. Resist the shiny that are Anime DVDs. ._. Another hard one to resist because I am a compulsive collector. And Hikaru no Go is going to be out on DVD as well as some of my other favorite series.
h. Wear more perfume. Because I received so much and bought a lot of BPAL. I swear everyone gave me Sweet Pea from Bath & Body Works and perfume for Christmas. What? You people don't think I smell girly enough? And BPAL is an addiction all it's own.....so I'm wearing pretty scents. Want to come closer and smell? ^_~ *resolves to finish some bottles this year...either through copious slathering or giving them away*
i. WoW. Yes. Must play more. World of Warcraft is sucking my life away, thanks to all the gift cards for time that I've received for Christmas and birthday. WoW is all nice and shiny and omg!EXPANSIONPACK. Blood Elves for the Horde, here I come! ;-)
Let's see how many of these I'll be able to keep this year. I'm thinking a., i., and e. are the only ones that are going to be kept. Yup. *nods*
Erm....I had other nice and pretty words laid out in my mind but I forget what to write since I'm easily distracted by work and fic and omg!pretty pics (esp. by my lovely
myrafur and
red_rahl) and my awesome
vanillaskyychat girls, all whom are beautiful, wonderful, and amazing.
Now I'm off toread some fics work my bootie off. *loves*

Date: 2006-01-12 08:00 pm (UTC)Thank you so much. It was a wonderful birthday. My baby niece kissed me (which is a big deal since the only other people she kisses are her mommy and daddy). Unfortunately no Japanese boy came up to my window to serenade me. XDD That was the only bummer.
And those are a lot of resolutions. Good luck! (Especially with resisting the shiny anime dvds. I've had to stop going to the Japanese store altogether.)

Date: 2006-01-13 11:36 pm (UTC)I'm glad it was a great birthday! Your baby niece sounds so cute! My godson always gives me lots of kisses and hugs which he hardly does with anyone else outside of family. Too bad on the Japanese boys. Maybe next year? *crosses fingers*
Yes. Lots of them. And I'm afraid I may have to break some of them. Esp the shiny anime dvds. Media Play is going out of business and I've been by and bought many, many dvds before making the resolution. And MY IS IT HARD TO RESIST. ;_;
