Date: 2005-11-16 03:24 pm (UTC)Yay for fangirl orgy! I promise not to break you again this time with the humping :)
There is a possibility of meeting up on Sunday or Friday at some point for coffee or whatever with
aaand suggestions-
the museums around central park are all lovely. I adore the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the donation is 'suggested', so you can pay anyhting you want to get in), and the natural history museum is cool too. The garment district (http://www.fashioncenter.com/Map.html) is fun too, with all kinds of little shops that sell cheap accessories and fabric and the like (it's where all the street vendors buy the stuff they sell). I want to hit that up when I get there, but you can spend quite a lot of time there and not hit everything.
Times Square goes without saying as being 'classic touristy' as well as Rockefeller Center. I love to just wander down the big streets and see what's around to look at. Pick up a few city maps from Grand Central Station (at 42nd and Park)and try walking from there. Suggested places for eating: Grand Central food court, Chinatown, Anywhere more outside the touristy areas will be cheaper by far.
ps, what's your opinion of going to get Dim Sum on Sunday in chinatown? It's relatively cheap (I'm always surprised at how little I end up spending on a big lunch) and lots of fun. I'm also pretty adventurous in the food area, so I'll try pretty much anything you want to order (although I'll pass on Chicken feet. I had them once, and I'm just not a fan)
also? TWO DAYS!!! *squees some more*
*goes back to the 'boyfriend'*
