May. 3rd, 2005 09:30 amas i sit here blearily looking at my screen, let me just say that this weekend was the most interesting one i've had in ages
there. with that said and done, let me tell you why.
Weekend started off on Friday. it was long day at work and i finally gave up on things. stopped by home, had a huge drama thing in the lone hour i was home, went off to trammie's place for some consolation, wine, and good food.
Saturday was a pain in the morning because i had to work. more network problems. *sigh* then off to Sausalito I went with friends. had a fabulous time in Sausalito. did some wine-tasting and bought a bottle of Mondavi's Muscata d'Oro. Took my friend from NYC (who moved here recently) over the Golden Gate and drove next to Golden Gate Park (she was exclaiming with glee "full house homes!!!"). walked around a bit and met up with others. Dinner at Arang's in Japantown area in SF had us all drinking Peach soju. yummmm. then we ate some more (like piglets we are!) at a hong kong-nese dessert cafe. *loves the watermelon juice* then off to meet more people at the clubs.
Sunday was FUN and exhausting. Started off with Dim sum at Dynasty in San Jose with the cousins. then went with
purelica to the Rivers of Chocolate event at the Mountain Winery. The view was gorgeous. I have pics of the view...will upload when i get the chance but it was something we definately wanted to come back and visit and taste all the wine locally. GREAT wines we tasted...esp. the Vino de Mocca from Kirigiin's Cellars. great great great red wine. tastes almost coffee-like. and a wonderful 2001 Syrah from J.Lohr. *dies* it's absolutely fabulous with choclate truffles. and the CHOCOLATE. *dies some more* there were some fabulous chocolates....and trammie and i loved the white and milk chocolate fountains. it was delicious. we stuffed ourselves completely on chocolate, wine, and the chocolatini that was delishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. *happy sigh* i swear i gained ten pounds from that event alone. NEXT year, we will definately go...
Monday brought all sorts of problems at work but a very fun evening. As I mentioned earlier, I went to see SNOW PATROL. yah...so i was super hyper and crazy at the concert. got to jump up and down, groove, get insane, had my ass slapped so many times that i have bruises, and one of the guys grabbed my extremely sensitive cleavage. (but i got revenge later on that nite by tappin' his nuts. no one twists my cleavage without me getting revenge. heh...i checked in the bathroom and i had fingermarks....and i hate pain. so yeah. i channeled Draco for a moment.) had a post-concert dinner in chinatown. food was good, company was HILARIOUS.
so that's my weekend in a blurb. now i must go and stalk my f-list.
oh...one thing i forgot to mention. MICHAEL BUBLE tickets are freakin' SOLD OUT. I tried on sunday evening to get them but couldn't. and he's only singing one show in LA. *shakes fist* i sooooooooooooooooooooooo wanted to go. i'm going to check ebay for them.
Hope everyone's weekend was fabulously interesting. I'm completely asleep and babbling now. hence the mental/written stream of consciousness.

Date: 2005-05-03 06:58 pm (UTC)...and sometimes I'm a little bit too tired, too.
The only reason I do it every week is for Laurent...
otherwise, it'd be once a month or at most once every 2 weeks.
It's fun, but I do get exhausted... especially when I work 14 hours/day
Just remember... everything I do now is for him...
don't know why I do it *sigh*

Date: 2005-05-04 09:07 am (UTC)I just had a quick question. I was just at Maxine's web page, which I only visited because something about its name disturbed me. It says, somewhere in the "about" section, that you suggested, so I just thought I'd ask you. It's just that the name of her page, Dreaming in Colour, is the name of my first really big H/D fic. I don't mind if she uses it, but if it came from my fic, then I'd really rather it was credited. I notice that both Starts with a Spin and the website were created since my fic, so I just wondered. Help me out?
