Christmas List

jemzBecause I've been super busy and people have been poking me for things that I would want, here's my list. This also works for my birthday, which is a month later.
Step 1. Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me.") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD.") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/tv."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your e-mail address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. (Note: home address, not required!)
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step 2. Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- or even know where you could get someone's dream pure bred basset hound for free -- do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. DBSK, w-inds., Arashi, or Jin. All tied up in a pretty bow. Okay, okay. I'll settle for fic, photobooks, dvds, shop photos of them. XD
2. I'm still really in love with the star lariat necklace from Tiffany's. And it's accompanying earrings. But I'll happily accept gift cards to Tiffany's. :D
3. A red iPod shuffle. So I can have something super lightweight when working out. As much as I love my iPod (named Teppei), I don't want to carry him in the gym. Too many germs. D:
4. For you to volunteer. I am a firm believer in giving back to the community, whether it's through monetary donations or time donations. Giving back to the community in an area that you're interested in is the best gift. It keeps our society strong and is what makes our community open-hearted. There are so many social issues out there that could use a pair of helping hands, whether it's passing our food, organizing care packages, or just talking to the elderly. We all need to know that someone out there cares about us, even in the roughest of times.
5. Even after two years, I still really love this ring from Royal Order. And I can't really justify spending that much on a ring when I still want to travel around the world, so it's on a Christmas Wish List. XD But this ring is really pretty too.
6. MORE TIME, y0. Time to get everything I need to accomplished done. But as much as I complain about having no time, I do love being busy and achieving some personal goals.
7. I love accessories. So it's no surprise that I would love gifts of makeup, jewelry, shoes, or purses. XD I usually shop at Sephora for my makeup when I'm not at MAC. I love earrings, especially dangly ones. Most of my earrings are silver, so maybe I should branch out into other colors. I also want a ring. Or a Coach purse.
8. Wine, Sake, or Tea. My favorite things to drink. I've got a huge list of teas that I own and, thanks to Koyamamamamama and her bad influence, I even had it alphabetized by company and name. Yeah. Like I said, bad influence!
9. For you to be happy and healthy! And to say YES to an experience you've never considered. Personal growth isn't going to happen by always staying in your comfort zone. I'm slowly considering what to do next year for a new experience.
