jemzToday is a beautiful day.
I went outside to take a quick break from the hellish day I've been having at work to be greeted by the sun, clear blue skies, crisp cool air, and green trees. My mood went from "ugh. yuck!" to "omg. I love life." in a heartbeat.
I simply adore these days. Whether the fact that the weather was absolutely gorgeous or that I am having a rough day has an impact on my appreciation, I don't know. But I feel so much more refreshed. More lively.
I've been stuck in a rut lately and haven't really been around LJ much. Been OCD about certain things and uncaring of others. But it feels like today brought things into perspective. A bit of clarity and appreciation of the daily mundane things.
Today is a beautiful day.
I feel both satisfaction and a hunger towards life. I've missed doing volunteer work and so am looking around for low-commitment projects. I've also missed being creativesomewhat in my lack of talent sort of way and so may start scrapbooking again. The wine tasting parties are bringing a lot of fun and culture into my life so that's a wonderful plus. Getting re-acquainted with old friends always feels marvelous.
All these things. I can't describe how much I am enjoying my life. I've always tried to enjoy each day at a time and it's days like today that make you truly treasure the richness of life. I know that I have a long way to go to change and grow into a better person. I find a number of flaws within myself but...I am trying my best.

And no, it's not because I just got my new 80GB iPod last night. Although, that helps a great deal! Anyone suggest a good program that converts video for iPod in good quality? The one I found sucks. D:

I've been listening to a lot of music lately, exploring and so forth. I'll trade people music if anyone on my flist wants! Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
