beneath the surface, i lurk
Aug. 25th, 2006 09:07 amAm not fully back yet but I thank everyone who commented in my last post. Things are slightly better. Of course, the new w-inds. PV of BoogieWoogie66 made the day so much brighter. especially since Ryohei has learned to look damn sexy. Thanks
wifey, for killing me with that picture.
It's sort of peaceful to have a small picnic at the cemetary. The wind blows a bit more harshly but it's still nice. It's a stark reminder that I'm above ground and hides my mental imaginings that the ghosts are sitting there next to me, comforting me.
It's soothing to bring that thermos of hot water, some our favorite sticky buns, and a blanket to sit down on and have a little tea party. And even though I couldn't vocalize anything I really wanted to say, I felt the ache heal just a little bit more. Of course, I could be imagining the wind caressing my face, pretending it's hers and drying the tears. But I like to indulge in my own dementia from time to time.
The scent of incense didn't stay very long, clinging only to my fingers as I walked around and greeted everyone, placing a stick of their own nearby. Next time, I should bring more hot water. The tea was really lovely, a soft taste and caress on my tongue.
Somehow, I feel more centered afterwards.
