to SD and back....

*sigh* i didn't want to come back to work today. I didn't want to back to San Jose for at least another week.

but i had to.

i had a BLAST this weekend in SD.

so i get to the airport only to have my flight delayed by 40 minutes. Once we get on the flight, i arrive in SD and picked up by two of my favorite girls, Courtney and Kimmie.

whooo HooO.....let the fun begin!

We went to Cafe Sevilla and had hot tapas and sangria. let me tell you it was YUMMY. but dessert. dessert was divine. we ordered three different desserts and all of them were DELICIOUS. Chocolate Expresso Creme Brulee, Chocolate Mouse Crepe, and Flan. YUMMMMMMMM. definately a place we're gonna go back to for dessert.

then we hopped over to a restaurant where they made some of THE BEST mojitos i've ever had. normally i don't like mojitos but dang, these were goooooooooooooooooooood. chilled there for a while. afterwards we ended up in Hustler where i bought a cute baby blue baby t with Hustler on the front. after that, we ended back at their place to talk some more and crash.

Saturday started out late with all of us sleeping in. we didn't get to Zeebug's place until 1:30pm or so due to getting some fresh greens and watermelon (all cuz i needed to balance the meat). Met Z's friend Tony who was super nice (esp. since he cooked and did all the manly bbq'ing stuff). it was just nice to hang out. Z and i disappeared to his room for us to go over his anime collection that i was going to steal. *evil grin* i got LOTS of good anime. he showed me some and got me totally hooked on Hikaru no Go, which is about playing Go (and that Courtney, Tony, and Kimmie found totally boring but Z and I loved it). so spent some time watching that anime. then kimmie, tony, Z, and I played poker (no limit texas hold em) while courtney watched "Wonderful Days" (a korean anime...it tripped me out too much for me to sit down and watch it....i'm way too used to the japanese dialogue...that and my mind was still on Hikaru no Go). I learned how to play poker and gamble that day.

and i can honestly say. I beat Z. :-D took all his money! whoo HooO....and i got Tony really good on one of the last hands we played. *does the cabbage patch*.

after we left Z's place, we went for some clam chowder at Solano Beach. then we came home only to watch the food network. we started watching a the ultimate cake decorating thing. it was totally interesting. i definately want them to do my wedding cake if i ever get married.

Sunday, we left looking for food at Aloha Grill. Definately a yummy place with Hakusan's Plum and Raspberry Sakes. :-D it's just nice to know that i've been to Hakusan a few months ago and bought their sakes at cheaper price than we did at Aloha Grill. Food was yummy. good times.

then we went to go do some light shopping at Armani Exchange. we all got matching tees in the different colors. we're probably going to take some pictures with the shirts one of these days. just so we can put pictures up on the walls when we're old and gray and talking to each other's kids/grandkids. :-D

after the shopping, we came back to the apt. to chill. watch some movies (courtney and kimmie did) and read some books (that's all me). had some in and out before going to the airport. got back to san jose safe and sound. :-D

definately one of the best trips to sd i've had. I haven't laughed so hard for so long in years. great times. you just had to be there for the insider jokes. the grandma chipmunk. it's TUPAC!!! and the bear mooning stupid people in mustangs with the finger! :-D

i think i laughed the hardest at the chipmunk. man. i laughed so hard my stomach hurt, i couldn't breathe, and i was seriously seeing spots. kimmie and i just died laughing. i swear, that is the funniest thing in the world.

all i gotta say is i can't wait for our next trip together. vegas baby!!!!

now back to the daily grind i go. and to cram my butt off for the final tonite. wish me luck!
