boredom continues
Jul. 9th, 2003 09:10 pmso after the fun filled weekend, i went back to my mundane life.
so saturday rolled around after we all went to sleep fairly late at nite. we were aiming to wake up at 8am since katrina wanted to head out to the beach. i was fairly sure we weren't going to be able to even raise our heads up at 8am. sure enough, i was right. 8am came and went without so much of a notice as an alarm being quickly turned off and us moving oh so slightly in our beds. we did get up around 11:30am or so and got ready for another fun filled day. gene went to do laps in the pool while katrina and kenny did their homage to the sun-god. courtney showered while i posted and chatted with peeps online. i wanted to wait for courtney to finish getting ready...i also wanted to be there should she need anything...that dislocated shoulder is healing pretty slowly.
after all that, we went to go eat. ate at a pho place...pho hoacali. man, overpriced and not that great! blah! oh well..it's in sd...that's the equivalent of a pho restaurant in davis....sucks but edible. after picking up some pearl tea without the pearls, we headed off to buy some food for a mini bbq at Z's place. picked up 3lbs each of bul go gi and marinated chicken. gooooooood stuff! did a quick stop at albertson's to pick up salad, salad dressing, charcoal, and coke (which 3 out of our 5 members of this merry party could not live without). We went back to change and pick up some stuff and headed off to Z's place. before we did, we all got hooked on While You Were Out. some drama in that show!!! it hooked us all! after we got to see the final result and the looks of astonishment on their faces, we left for Z's pad. we went and bbq'ed some fantastic food. katrina chopped up the watermelon and i was the only one helping myself to the salad. but then again, i'm always the one eating salad while everyone is carniverously eating something char-grilled. hehhehe...
after eating, the boys played some pool and talked some game. heheh...what game? that's what i was thinking too! the girls played rummy and we all had enormous amounts of fun. we went back to courtney's to get ready. sat around and watched tv. Z stopped by and we started the drinking. earlier at Z's place, the smacktalking started. katrina said she could outdrink kenny any day....with all of us saying that she couldn't and all the surety that she could, kenny took up the challenge...pretty darn cheerfully too. so katrina, kenny, Z, and i all took a shot of chilled soju. at first, she was trying to say that she had more than kenny did...but since Z poured and gene compared all the glasses, it was pretty hard to prove. so we all downed the soju! whoOO....that stuff taste NAAAAASSSSTYYYYYYYYY! ah well...taken quickly and cold...i shouldn't think about it. we all took another shot of soju and off we went. gene didn't drink so he drove. katrina was BUZZING already...her face was beet red and she continued to talk a lot of smack.
we finally ended up at Jimmy Love's after wandering downtown for a bit. it was a nice nite to be out. i really enjoyed it. the line for red circle was wrapped around the corner. we decided that it was not a good place to go if we had to wait that long. we went to deco's and the line was long....then we ended at JL's. yay. time to drink some more....we had 3 more drinks through the course of the nite. i drank a few glasses of water since i didn't really drink my daily 2L of water. that helped keep the buzz down. but then again, i wasn't that buzzed to begin with. heheh...
katrina just kept saying that she was just buzzed but not drunk. the last drink we all took, we cheered and i downed mine since i didn't like nursing it. kenny and katrina held onto their drinks and looked at each other. z and gene gave me props for taking drinks like a trooper...but then again...most of the drinks were light. heheh...except for the last one...liquid cocaine. katrina kept telling kenny to go first...so finally he downed it like it was nothing. katrina started to waver on drinking her drink. took three minutes of all of us telling her that she loses all bragging rights if she didn't drink up. kenny would be one up on their drinking contest. hahah....she took it...but took her more than 30 seconds to drink that drink. but afterwards....let's just say she was darn faded.
after the club...we went to go eat at denny's. all i hear from her mouth was "i'm soo hungry!" followed by "Z, ur the nicest guy i've ever met" and "Z, you're a shy guy. i can tell." needless to say, i bursted out laughing at the last remark. she ended up falling asleep on my boobs as we made our way to denny's. holding her up just gave my back an excuse to flare up in major pains....wingman or not, i hurt. as the only one holding her, my back started spasming...every move i made, she readjusted her head on my boobs...mumbling something about so soft and comfy and how hungry she was. the back spasm was extremely painful. it didn't go away until i took a couple pills at courtney's pad.
back to denny's, we all ordered some food. i, of course, ordered a side salad. i'm such a rabbit. :-P but one of gene's friends stopped by. katrina could not remember that his name was mark. she would say "so, MIKE...", we would tell her that his name is not mike but mark. she would nod her head, and say..."oh...right, mark." Then she turned to look at mark and say "Mike, how was..." drunk people gives so much amusement....all we did was laugh at her all night. she ended up trying to pimp courtney to Z with these outrageous prices.
anyways..the night ended and she was the first to crash...zeebug went home and we ended up crashing as soon as we left the bathroom. woke up around 11:30, got things ready to leave, packed up the car as Zeebug stopped by again and left for lunch at TGIFriday's. we all had burgers except for courtney who had a french dip....before i even finished half of my burger, katrina consumed all of hers. can you say "SAVAGE"?!?!?! i swear...for someone who's little, she can't outeat everyone at the table combined! after we finished, we said our goodbyes, took a few pics, and was on our way....20 minutes after we ate, katrina said the those words we've all heard all weekend...yup, u got it "i'm soo hungry!"
we got back a little after midnite and crashed. everyone else had to work while i spent the day with my mom on monday. i drove her around to do errands. i also got her hooked on green tea ice cream...yummmm
so the past few days i spent in delirium at work....had some issues....i'll work through them. i don't let it bother me that much anymore. i don't want to talk to my boss about anything...i don't even want to be at work anymore. i am still looking..but with no relevent skills or experience in the field i want, it's pretty damn hard to find a job...but i'm going to try. must get out of retail!
*sigh* took a nap earlier...now i'm wide awake and bored. maybe i'll go downstairs and read or watch some anime.
