another interview!
May. 11th, 2005 09:35 ambecause teh wonderful
meredyth_13 interrogated asked me some loffly questions.
1. You say you live in the bay area - which bay? and if you didn't always live there, where else have you lived, and what is the most significant thing you remember about each place you've lived?
I live a few heart beats from the center of the Silicon Valley in California. Otherwise known as the Bay Area (for us locals), the GAY area (for all the hatersand homophobic), and the YAY area (for those who love Crunk *some sort of rap style cuz it's all good from the hoods of Oakland* and the hip hop scene). I resided in the strange Lone Star state of Texas for the first decade of my life. I remember rainbows during summer showers, playing in the snow and making snow angels, fourth of july bbqs in HUGE multi-acre lots with lots of firecrackers, and learning how to fall on my ass ungraciously while roller skating. While currently living in Nor. Cali, I remember the hairstyles of my cousins, being teased for a Texan accent (which disappeared for self-preservation purposes), pouting over the lack of a proper snowy winter for my birthday, living in a cramped place (because i loved my old backyard), and all the family get togethers (because i adored my cousins even if i was a mischievious brat).
2. What was your first anime passion, and what was it that drew you in?
I don't remember the series that got me hooked but I remember loving the friends I had during that time. I remember watching cartoons all my childhood and it progressed into Japanese anime. I remember leaving anime behind to apply my few brain cells to my studies to get into college. Once in college, Fushigi Yuugi sucked me right back into anime. The storyline, the artwork, the hawt characters made me want more. Then I got addicted to many others...Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X, Love Hina, X, Weiss Kruss, Initial D, Naruto, Prince of Tennis, etc.) It helped that a lot of my male friends would supply me with anime....with much teasing for liking the "girly" ones.
3. If you could be a Harry Potter character for one day, which character would you be, when (which of the 7 years at Hogwarts), and what would you do for that day?
oooooooh. a tough question. I would pick to be Hermione because she's a smart-ass. I don't quite have all her studying skills but I do have her thirst for knowledge. I get curious over the silliest things. I don't have many friends but the ones I do, I cherish, keep, and adore. I would probably relish in running amok with Harry and Ron, punching Draco (even if my Draco!muse will hurt me later for it. >.> ), sitting in the library and read all those wonderful books, and enjoy the day in its entirety. umm....yah...why did i feel that my ravenclaw side just took over for a moment?!
4. If you could have the choice of either a) being able to sing beautifully, b) being able to draw like a master, or c) being able to write a masterpiece, which would you choose, and why?
If I had a choice, I would choose to draw like a master. That answer popped into my head immediately when I read it. I paused for a bit to consider the singing beautifully but I felt the urge to stick to drawing like a master. Writing a masterpiece is wonderful and all but it implies that you are known for one work of literature. Singing and drawing are more similar to me in that they can be changed and improved upon. They can be done anywhere. Singing is pretty hard....and i love to do it in the shower. But drawing...*sighs* i love art and looking at it. I like the different mediums used to draw. I love the simple lines or the layered paint. Art can be done at any time and be used to express any emotion.
5. (pron) What's the single act lowest on your squick list that you can actually imagine you might be convinced to do with the right partner?
errrrr....
<.<
>.>
darn you! i wouldn't really do any of my squicks or even my kinks! because i'm just shy like that. *snerks* but yah....i would probably do the rimming thing because that squick is totally dying under everyone's influences. need to bury that squick pretty soon. *sniffles*
now that i've bared some of my soul, ask me tointerrogate interview you and i'll ask u some questions!
heheh...on another note, i caved in and bought Il Divo becausethey're so damn hawt and i wanna jump them they sing so damn wonderfully. <3 the remix they did of Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart!!! *happy sigh* I need them and Michael Buble in my room, singing me to sleep every single night. *wishes*

2. If you got to live anywhere and any timeframe in the world (both real and imaginary), where would you live and why?
3. Kinkiness ties us together. Select a favorite kink and a squick. Explain why one is so damn sexy and the other you can never just pimp it out.
4. The faint blush on the cheeks, the soft breathy smile, the shy eyes. Tell us about an incredibly embarrassing moment in your life.
5. Life offers many opportunities. What's the one thing that you've regretted in the past that you would do over again if given a second chance?

3. I play the flute and I do love it, but it can get kind of frustrating playing it in band. Honestly, I love hte sound of the French Horn the best. The sound is just so right and full *huggles*. As for funny stories. Well. Two, off the tope of my head:
a. Right now, we're playing Godzilla goes to Las Vegas. On the first page of my music, there's this part where some parts of the band are supposed to clap. Or, excuse, clap APPROVINGLY as if they were at a cocktail party. Then there's also a part where two percussions guys have to howl/scream. You should hear them go at it. The sad thing is, there's a part where the flutes are supposed to scream, and the sad thing is, two guys pwn us, 12 girls, in both volume, and highness of pitch.
b. At the beginning of the year, the band director bet us that we wouldn't get past $100 per person in sales for our band fundraiser. If we did, he would put $1000 into the fund for taiko drums, and dance on a table in a kimono.
We got the $100 per student. So our band director (who's rather, I won't say fat, but definitely not thin) dresses up as a Japanese prostitute, got up on that table, and waved his fat ass around. EVERYONE was cracking up. The ladies dressing him up handed me a camera, and I started shooting pics -^.^- Unfortunately, I haven't seen the pictures since. But fond memories.... *wicked grin* So yeah. We were playing a piece that had a gajillion cues, so Mr. D started dancing around, pretending to throw out cues. When we stopped cuz we were all laughing, I just stage whispered, "put on a kimono!" good times -^.^-
And now I'll post another comment, because i think I'm close to exceeding the limit....

Date: 2005-05-12 08:04 pm (UTC)whinedtalked to the most about personal stuff, AND I get along with her quite well :) I would also want5. I've actually had like, 3 waves of writing. The first one was brought about my lurking in the HP fandom. Then one night, my brother ran out because he was pissed at my parents, my mom went after him, and tensions were running high. I was freaking out, so I sneaked onto the computer and started writing. Perfect was the result. I didn't post anything for quite a while. But then all of a sudden (I can't remember why) I started writing more. Including my "prologue" to my "epic" HD romance (it was supposed to be a long story. Yeah, now it's just a one-shot.... ;P) Then all of a sudden, I started writing and posting. The result would be much of what's on my fanfiction.net account. I believe that was late last school year, going to most of last summer.... Then my second wave; that was mostly drabble for
psht. not as dorky as me :)

Date: 2005-05-13 08:48 pm (UTC)ready for your questions? Here goes!
1. Life seems pretty hectic for you and the pressures seem to be holding you down. What are some of your favorite things to do to relieve the stress and pressure and cheer you up a bit?
2. War and politics aside, the state of the world is at hand. What is a world issue that you are willing to devote your entire life to and why?
3. What are some of your favorite literary characters (anime, manga, and fiction are all included) and why? What would you do if they existed in Real Life?
4. Drop it like it's HOT. What are some of the silliest dance moves you like to do (or would do if you don't dance at all). Are there any dances that you would like to learn how to do? If so, why those particular dances?
5. It's time to pimp out your dream vacation. Where do you want to go and visit? Why those places?
have fun, my dear!
