Erm. Yeah. I totally fail at posting everday, let alone once a week. I've been lurking mainly since I've been pretty busy with work and other errands that never cease to end and let me do nothing on my days off! >O



Anyways, what I've been up to? Just work, errands, planning, and my good friend insomnia kicking my butt.

Thanksgiving was quiet, which i enjoyed the relaxing time but I miss the chaotic gathering of family and friends. Unfortunately, I had to work way before the buttcrack of dawn and I didn't leave until the moon rose on Black Friday. Woe for not having free time. But it just means that I'll have more fun when I'm in Japan next year.

And YAY for Japan. I don't think I've mentioned it on my journal but I'm going to Japan next year for two weeks. Going to go with many lovely Fanime people; mainly ConOps/Tech since sandpanther is going to spearhead the trip and I'm following on seshat's coattails. Hopefully everyone will be able to go! Including rightsock, his lovely wife whose LJ i forget the name of, yzo, a few more people from ConOps whose LJ's escape my memory as well as my wifey, shinigamitabris and perhaps lady_gemma.

We're spending a week in Kyoto and a week in Tokyo. Expect me to squee a lot about this trip....especially since I am going to compile a pretty spreadsheet with information on day trips and various places to gawk like a tourist with cameras around our necks and a big straw hat! at. We're going the first two weeks of April. I am so looking forward to it!

Other major events is planning for my best friend's bridal shower and her tea ceremony/reception. Gotta slim down and get a pretty green ao dai made in time before Japan trip. Also, must look for a cheap hotel to stay at in Denver for simplyjenn's wedding in June. I'm going to be there!!! *shamelessly rsvp's in advance*

So a few things have been happily distracting me from work. One is my growing love for ARASHI. Granted, their music isn't exactly the best but I love pop in all its forms and so their music is s l o w l y growing on me. w-inds. still makes me wiggle happily since I love to dance about in my room while cleaning or while driving. yes, shut up. i like to groove no matter where i am. Even in Kino when they're playing Kitto Daijoubou. my inner Ryohei is wiggling his butt along to the music. :-P

But back to Arashi. I've been totally following "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters from Iwa Jima" news, advertising, etc. I've been following it mainly because of Nino and then I got sucked into the story and the history of it all a lot lately and I am determined to see this on opening day wherever it opens in San Francisco. The official website for Letters is gorgeous. Absolutely GORGEOUS. I love its simplicity and the song they have looped is poignant and is very effective with the subtlety of the site.

In following Nino, I got deeper and deeper into Arashi. I may have to drag seshat deeper into the boy band insanity not that she'll be kicking and screaming. Oh how I love willing participants in my madness. But yeah. I have favorites in the band but anyone who knows how much I love JPop or any type of music will know I will always like the dancer of the group. This is true with w-inds. and is true with Arashi. I adore the dancers. Even if both groups are great dancers, I'll love the ones that dance as naturally as they breathe. XD *is a total fangirl*

and speaking of fangirling dancers, OMG RYOHEI. I just recently watched their performance for the Korean Music Festival (or whatever the letters are called. *is being lazy*) and I was watching them do their dance solos. ldakfjalsdjfal RYOHEI. *____* His breakdance moves have gotten more and more complicated and is just so....*__________* I had to watch him several times before I could even think to watch Keita do his dance solo. I am totally excited that w-inds. performed together again. even if Keita looked tired and needs to eat more protein!

I pre-ordered Keita's solo debut album but it won't get here until Christmas or so since I also ordered the THANKS concert dvd as well as WaT's single/dvd. I swear, pretty japanese boys are going to break my bank. My wallet is already hiding in protest. XD Little does it know that GLAY is going to be releasing a full length album (finally!) in January and I am so getting that, me being a good GLAY fangirl that I am. Early bday present to myself!

So I've started on my holiday cards. I'm a fourth of the way done and am hoping to finish them all by this weekend. I still need to poke around the flist to put myself on lists and stuff since I am going to use all the cards I get as a fun garland around the house. I got a pack of cute clothespins and will string twine up the staircase (along the lights!) and will put them up there. All the naughty pr0ny ones will be strung around my room. XD

Holiday decorations are going to go up this weekend so I am looking forward to getting a real tree. Now. Problem is where to put it. Plus, am going to see the Fishbot this weekend for a tree decorating party. I think I may have to experiment and find a christmas cookie to make with him.
