(no subject)

Sooooo. I'm still madly dashing about in my life to various events and so forth and haven't had a chance to stop, breathe, unpack, and enjoy the cooler summer air.

Right after Lumos, things had exploded at work and I was madly trying to accomplish everything in a single week, cramming two weeks of work. But somehow I managed to do it....sort of. XD

I am also missing the wifey, who is out and about in Kobe, Japan. I have no one to flail at on the phone over the ~~dorkiness~~ cuteness that is w-inds. D:

I am hoping to write a full summary of Lumos shortly, complete with some ~~teasing~~ pics, despite lagging like crazy.

Erm...what else is new? Not much, just working like a mad thing. I'm am scheduled to make a foray into the wilderness of the Bible Belt (aka Alabama, Tennesee, and Georgia) soon to bring a care package ~~full of japanese candy, sake, Californian wine, the new October Junon, other Asian snacks, and me~~ to

shinigamitabris. We're going to head up to Nashville to flop about and I can gawk at the sights. Then Atlanta is confirmed for the next day, so I hope to be hooking up with anyone in the area for dinner. *looks at

Other than work and the trip, I've been busy with w-inds.swept, organizing meetups and going to the festivals.

Got a Wines Around the World Anniversary Party with my friends coming up. We had started this a year ago to taste different wines from various parts of the world and have been doing this as a monthly get together. It was amazing to think that it started out with only the four us and has expanded to more than 40 people coming and going. It's great fun and an awesome way to meet new people!

Lately, I've been getting back into reading HikaGo fic. It has sparked this insatiable need to read everything AkiHika and all the genfic I could find. Woe is me when I don't have a computer to do this on late at night. Especially when I'm having trouble figuring out why the wireless decided to stop working. ~~My guess is too many fights with craptop and it was pwned~~

WoW is so addictive. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things in playing again and hearing my godson repeat things over and over in my ear. XD

bebiteeny for making it to the semifinals of Vietnamese Idol!!! I hope you get into the finals!!!! *cheers you on* And good luck on DATs!!!

Back from Las Vegas!!!

Oh wow. I'm back and utterly exhausted to the very depths of my bones. But I want to get my hands on a time turner and do it all over again!

I had a blast with my lovely ladies in the

goldie!suites as well as the hot tub hotties! I watched a few fantastic panels, missed some really neat ones (of which I may have to order the cds!), laughed my arse off every night, saw lots of great people having fun and some fabulous costumes (oh how I love cosplayers!!!), nearly died from ciggarette smoke (and I'm in recovery from the smoke overload but at least my meds started working!), relaxed in the hot tub, embarrassed

dramaphile on her birthday by getting everyone in the Great Hall to sing "Happy Birthday" during the Opening Feast when the dessert came out (

cmere and I screamed out the password and our lovely friends started singing!!!! &hearts!!!), crack panel was fantabulous, died in the heat of the Strip at night, rode back to the hotel in style in a stretch Limo SUV!!!, and generally had a wonderful time.

I so didn't want everyone to leave and I was especially heartbroken when half the group left

Hiatus: LUMOS

Last night was a blast listening to Harry and the Potters perform. The Draco and the Malfoys were hilariously funny and a lot of fun. So it was good to geek out with

aefscience and I am looking forward to seeing her again at Lumos....in like...a day or two.

Harry and the Potters and Draco and the Malfoys will be performing on Thursday after the Opening Feast for Lumos.

I'm about to leave work (omg. FINALLY!!!) to go over to Kinokuniya for ~~my w-inds. fix~~ the Sept. Junon. I hope it's out. *crosses fingers* I am also going home to finish packing, do last minute laundry, and flail about in the hot, hot heat of my home while singing to w-inds.

I may or may not be able to post things but I do check my email ~~obsessively~~ on my phone.

BUT VEGAS, HERE I COME!!!!!!!omg. I'm going to die of heat! 104F!!!!! Can't I cut my hair uber short now?!!?!?

Hey all!!! Just two more days I will be in Vegas!!!!

But tonight, I'm heading out to my local library to watch Harry and the Potters perform for a bit before starting on all the packing and so forth.

It's damn hot and so I am not sure if I really want to be outside in the heat. *drinks a lot of water*

Hey all!

♥ The last weekend was really good! Had a ton of fun at

rightsock's place. Grilled up yummy marinated short ribs, turkey burgers, chicken burgers, and chicken sausages. Yummy! We all flopped about and chattered away. Oh,

etoilenoir959, don't forget to feed the pregnant Totoro it's pre-natal vitamins and trace minerals/alloys! :-3

♥ Also started finalizing the plans to go to Japan next year at the bbq!!! I got the dates and am totally looking forward to it! I am really that fangirlish enough to go with

sandpanther and get a car to drive about the Gunma Prefecture. *_* I know for sure that I want to go to Harujuku and Yoyogi Park. And an onsen. ~~gotta recreate that scene of WaT!!! XD~~

♥ Am getting new windows for the entire house! Energy efficient ones too. Hopefully, energy will be slightly lower from now on!

♥ Lumos is in two weeks! I get to see all my girls!

Wow. What a weekend! I had a packed but very fun weekend.

It started off with a bang with my makeover with my wonderful friend who is moving down to the City of Plastic Dolls (aka Hollywood >_> ). Got an awesome red lipstick to go swing dancing at the Metronome along with some pretty fake lashes. Very chique.

Fanime Meeting: It was great seeing everyone! Only a month left! Somehow, I volunteered for an event which I'm doubting I should do. But I signed up for it and I hope it will be fun and well worth it!

Then it was off to hang out with birthday people! I had fun teaching the girls, Ant, and Tony how to do East Coast Swing. I definately want to go back up there one of these days! SupperClub was hot! I loved the vibe and the party atmosphere. Quite fun. Maybe we can do dinner there one of these days.

Sunday brought more birthdays! Celebrated all day long instead of being all bummy and lounging. Had yummy, yummy food with the family for Sis's birthday. Love you lots, shortie.

I still need to pick up my bridesmaid dress for the wedding on Saturday. I'm so excited! The seamstress had to take in a few more inches when I tried it on on Saturday. Totally made my day!

So this weekend, I will be gone again. Stuck up in Sacramento (or the outskirts of it) for the wedding. I will try to take pics and load them up! As soon as I steal my sis's computer back where the rest of my pics are living. >_> So I apologize if I'm going to miss anything big! I'll try to attain some internet access but I may be on sporadically.

Oh man. I just got a facial last night and my skin feels soo good! *luxuriates*

erm. I finally listened to my mp3s of w-inds and other various random artists and can I say that I WANT MORE W-INDS.

*nodsnods* Their voices remind me a bit of Shinhwa...except Japanese instead of Korean. I haven't seen any of their music videos but oh man. This is pulling me from my "Jazz! Michael Buble! Alternative! The Fray!! She Wants Revenge! Rock Kills Kid!" mode to the "omg. I'm listening to BOA, Shinhwa, S.E.S., Twins, Andy Leung, H.O.T., Glay, Hamasaki Ayumi, and so much more!" o.O

*snickers* And I listened to that mp3 of Fuji Syuusuke talking in English. *sporfles* "Tezuka is OLDER than Fuji. Repeat. After. Me. Tezuka is OLDER THAN FUJI."

But yes...new music. I am so excited by teh Music Fest happening at Fanime Con this year. SIX Japanese Bands. All hot and wanted in Japan with some awesome music. I'm definately excited about Goofy Style and Swinging Popsicle. *_* I've listened to some of the samples and songs.

Sooooo. I am lusting after shiny, new crack. Well...more shiny crack. Kanzashi and pretty art (pencil boards & doujinshi)! And naturally, as a true Aquarian, I am distracted by teh shiny hobbies. Knitting is fun but more of something I want to do to relax (which isn't often!) but I'd much rather be on the go with friends and so forth. Despite not having much time, WoW is sucking it all up and I am greatly tempted to ~~steal~~ borrow Kuya's PS2 to play Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2. >.> I have been resisting teh console games for years. But a PS2 will round out things in the family nicely. Dad still has teh TI system and Atari, Bro has XBOX and the old school nintendo, Sis has the Game Cube. Mom has her Korean soap operas online (okay...so it doesn't count as a game but it's as close to a game me mum will play.), and I don't own a console thing. ^______^

Other news?
♥ Bestest's younger sis's wedding is in 17 days. My last fitting for the bridesmaid dress is on Thursday for discussion on the hem length. Geeez, remembering what is Tea Length vs. Cocktail vs. Formal vs. Miniskirt is a bit daunting. >.> And what color the white ribbon should be. Because you know. Bright White is not right and nor is creamy white. ^_^;;

♥ Fanime Con is coming up! I think I just dove into the world of Cons and the seedy underworkings (okay. it's not really seedy but really fun because of all the sheer amount of planning and the business sense you get of it) of Con planning and am having fun learning. My educational horizons are expanding. :-P I have new ~~guinea pigs~~ people to force my baking attempts onto. >.> ~~except the cheesecake & cookies I'm making for ConOps isn't exactly new but they are my favorite to make/eat~~ >:-]

♥ Bay to Breakers. Still deciding if I want to do this one. I've been insanely busy with other things and haven't had a chance to train. I might do the LA Women's Marathon in Oct. with teh cousins instead. *is being lazy*

♥ LUMOS IS COOOOOOOOOOOOMING UP!!!! *squeeees* Vegas. HP. My favorite girls. Prospect of LOTS of Alcohol and Debauchery. SPA TREATMENTS. Yes. July needs to be here soooooon.
