Bonjour!!!

jemz: (DBSK - Happy Jae!)
So I forgot to write and say that I'm taking a long holiday (well, only 2 weeks worth) in Europe.

Things are fairly stable at home so the BF and I went ahead with our Eurotrip.
EUROTRIP! )
jemz: (DBSK - so tired!)
My legs hurt.

I did a 7 mile hike through a redwoods reserve. Walked along a cute creek in lots of mud, trees, water, banana slugs, and other things.

Now I'm exhausted but all of today's fics for jehols is up. :D

Right now, I just want a massage and sleep. Tomorrow is time enough for all the aching and the craving for more energy.
jemz: (Tea)
Life is a blend of hectic activity, exhaustion, and Important Events.

I hate cleaning. Just saying'.

Planning my costume for my Halloween wine party. It's going to be fun! :D I'm gonna be a pirate since I have KAT-TUN's pirate sword penlight to help me out. Arrrgh, matey!

I started to do hiking with the bf. Who's an avid hiker and a big meanie for starting me out on one of the hardest trails in the area.

New phone! :D I got the Blackberry Tour. It's quite shiny.

Ssved some b00bies during my 5K walk in the OC last week. One of the biggest ones in the nation. There were 25,000 other people saving b00bies. :D

Sadly, I had to take out my left tragus piercing due to migration. I'm debating if I want to re-pierce it or not. Migrating after a year and a half is not something I care to repeat.

I've been going to the gym more. Which is good. The only bad parts are that I am sore and that I have less time to devote to LJ.

Still struggling with a few things but I'm hoping things will turn out okay. I'm anxiously waiting for that day.

I haz new Juicy Couture glasses. And they are sexy with their anti-glare coating.

Guess where I'll be NEXT WEEKEND?!?!?!?!?! Having dinner with [livejournal.com profile] musikologie, [livejournal.com profile] anumuan, and maybe [livejournal.com profile] mousapelli.....in DC. :D

<3 to all of you!
jemz: (DBSK - so tired!)
Oh hey, look who is online again!? Yup. That's right. ME!!! *happy dance*

Which isn't to say that I haven't exactly been without internet connection since I last posted in the warm lobby of the Hilton Seattle where I was enjoying Sakura-Con with some fantastic friends and making new ones. I've had internet......on my blackberry (aka Shige-Dex). I just haven't had time to make a post!

So what's new/happening/exciting in my life in the past two weeks?

I'm so glad you asked! )

So. How are you doing this fine spring? :D Less hectic than me, I hope. One day soon I will actually comment on your posts! Promise!
jemz: (Jin - SAY WHAT?!?!)
Hellooooooo from Seattle!!!

I'm here and having a lot of fun. :D I've seen a few panels, took some pictures, generally got lost in the convention center that Sakura-Con is held in. :D It's not raining so far but it's a bit chilly! Brrrr. Too bad I didn't bring a warmer coat!

Perhaps there will be pictures but I will have to steal them from my roommates!

Also, I'm amused that wifey has a fanclub. So cute! Her fangirls! :D Makes me a bit envious that I don't have any but that's okay. I don't want to get stalked! XD

But it's getting really late and the bed is calling my name!
jemz: (HYD - apples)
How did this year pass by so fast?

I'm still a bit boggled by how quickly time passed me by and that it probably all meant that I was too darn busy to notice! I was telling a few friends that I felt that I didn't accomplish very much this year. So I decided to do a Year in Review and to remind myself that I did accomplish a lot!

I combined it with that meme (Take the first sentence (or two) from the first post of each month of 2008. That's your year in review.)

So what did I do? )

I...think I need more sleep. XD
jemz: (WaT - Dr. Koike)
Mmm...still in recovery from the crazy Halloween party, the fantastic time at the California Academy of Sciences, 6 hours of Killer Bunnies, and a day of being amazingly lazy (I even had a gourmet nap!) with sporatic cleaning.

I've resolved myself to try and blog every day this month for National Blogging Day but we all know how incredibly busy I tend to get, so we shall see how long I can last!

Also, I wanted to flail over the all the pamphlets I received from [livejournal.com profile] snowqueenofhoth because OH MY GOD!!! How I love them so and aslkjf;alsfk I've been flipping through them all and just...a;skjf;alskjf I WISH I WAS THERE FOR EACH OF THE SHOW/CONCERT!!! Shige's solow show pamphlet is ridiculously big (as big as the Dream Boys 2008 pamphlets) and Nakamaru's cracks me up while Ueda's is so damn pretty. I may end up doing a list of pamphlets I have just to keep track of them all! *___* And Tsubasa's is amazing.

Okay, off to bed I go.
jemz: (Kanjani8 - TORN)
Next picture post of my Japan 2008 trip!

Ummm, I'll be honest. I am not going to do a write up on the Kanjani8 concert in Fukui until after the wedding on Saturday. a;lskfj;laskf need sleep! But I will write one! I promised someone I would on all three but for now, you get pictures! (Sorry for the HUGE picspam post. It'll take a few moments to load.)

Day 3 - Fukui to Kyoto )

Day 4 was spent entirely in Kyoto going to various temples. mousaPi and Shabz graciously allowed me to tailor the day of sightseeing to the temples I wanted to see. So I wanted to show them Kiyomizudera in the early light because it is beautiful in the calm dawn. Then Heian Jingu, recommended to me by [livejournal.com profile] sandpanther. I wanted to try and hit up Yasaka Jinja if we had time before meeting up with Ilana, [livejournal.com profile] alissa & co and going off to see Kinkakuji and Ryoanji but we weren't able to.

Still, I think Day 4 was one of my favorite days of all on this trip. Despite everyone calling me Leader. Leader janai!

Temples in order visited!

After all the temples, we were tired and hungry. So we headed back to Kyoto Station and decided to eat at one of the restaurants in Porta, the underground mall connected to Kyoto Station. We ended up at a okonomiyake place where we all tried okonomiyake for the first time along with takoyaki. SO GOOD. I didn't take any pictures since, in my hunger, I forgot and just enjoyed the meal. :D

We then shopped for a bit in Porta before parting ways, tired and full of delicious food.

Gah, that took longer than I thought! Sleep time. More pictures to come!
jemz: (Yamapi - MMMM. FOOOD!)
So I've been uploading pictures from Japan and will take it one day at a time, yah? I think I've done some commentary on our first few days before I became tired of writing as we were traveling in high humidity (and really, for a girl who's been living in the dry, dry heat of California, humidity ain't your friend) and we were super spazzy for a lot of the nights.

So without further ado (and I should really try to sleep early and acclimate better), here are pictures of the first day! (sorry, I was too tired lazy to resize the pictures!)

Day 1 - The arrival & Akihabara )

Day 2 - Tsukiji Fish Market, Shin Yokohama, & the Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum )
jemz: (Jin - Y HALLO THAR)
JIN. JIN! JIN!!!!!!!!

He looked so good last night! He even had a pipe to blow smoke at the beginning of TABOO!

and then him rapping a Snoop Dogg song during his solo intro during the dance break into Six Senses had Shabz and I flailing so hard and dancing our asses off like mad women. The four obaachans sitting behind us were COMPLETELY amused. Also, they were HUGE Jin fans. One of them pulled out a billion Jin uchiwas! It was amazing.

alskfjas;lfk I don't think I'm even coherent this morning to even begin describing how awesome it was!!!
jemz: (HP - h/d sleeping)
been asleep for hours now, recovering from the madness.

I'm not ready to go back to the real world. :/

Can't I sleep some more?
jemz: (Ryo - Mmmm. HIP LINES.)
So many things have happened in the past 3 days!

ngày thứ bảy - I flew to LA in the morning. Little did I realize that my terminal was not connected to Cara's terminal and was really at the opposite side. So, with about 40 minutes to spare, I walked to her terminal. :D Then we were picked up by [livejournal.com profile] karinberry and hung out in Little Tokyo! We met up with [livejournal.com profile] ilanabean42, her sister, and her crazy friend (HI!) for more hanging out before checking into our hotel. Btw, the Miyako Hotel rocks! Heated toilet seats and region-free dvd player allowed us to relax and giggle over great concerts! [livejournal.com profile] saturnianlove joined us after her long drive and we giggled some more with her.

We met up with [livejournal.com profile] peroxidepest17 in the evening after an adventure in getting LOST. I showed my mettle in the driver's seat by keeping up with [livejournal.com profile] karinberry. XD After dinner, it was KARAOKE time in K-town. Lots of fun! Especially if you know all the hand movements and hip thrusting. Daite, Daite Senorita! *hip swivels*

chủ nhật - We woke up and had a leisurely morning of getting ready before heading down for a brunch. Did some quick last minute shopping after checking out of the hotel. Sadly, we had to part and thus began losing people. Said goodbye to [livejournal.com profile] saturnianlove at the parking structure, then [livejournal.com profile] ilanabean42 at the train station, and to [livejournal.com profile] karinberry & [livejournal.com profile] pastdazed at my terminal. <3 It was almost teary for me and then we resolved to do this at least once a year! :D With me planning it again. ;-)

I then flew home. [livejournal.com profile] rightsock was kind enough to pick me up and take me straight to the Fanime meeting, in which I was immediately pulled into some quick but important meetings. Left at 5:30pm and came home. Crashed out for ages. XD All that excitement, y0.

ngày thứ hai - Today was catch-up day. I caught up on sleep and was totally late. I had a lot of work I still need to catch up on. I saw previews of KAT-TUN's Don't U Ever Stop PV in bad fancam quality. I took over [livejournal.com profile] jesummary (next post goes up tomorrow night!). And I found some time tonight to help my kuya and his fiancee do the invitations during our weekly Dancing With the Stars night. :D

Also, watched Rain & Colbert dance! Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elise_maxwell for the link!

Now I still have a bunch of things to do and I'll try to get to them tomorrow! I've been super busy lately and have been SO BAD at being a good friend online despite being that social butterfly. XD I'll do them tomorrow! My bed is calling out my name! Hope everyone is doing well and NOT STRESSING OUT LIKE I AM. a;fkja;slfkjas;lf 15 more days!!!
jemz: (Jin - Keep the Faith)
AIITE, Y'ALL.

I AM ALIVE. :D AND IN NEW ORLEANS AND I SURVIVED MARDI GRAS!!!!

It's been a blast so far! I AM WITH ISO!!!!! She is so adorable and awesome and teeeeeeny and so flaily and awesome!

I arrived in New Orleans in the middle of the night due to my flights being delayed all evening. I then caught about 3 hours of sleep before waking up to get ready for Mardi Gras madness in New Orleans. SO MUCH FUN!!!!

I can't even begin to describe how much fun it is. It's so much like Halloween in the Castro but in the daytime or like the Gay Parade in San Francisco except without all the throwing of beads.

HERE. HAVE SOME PICTURES. :D SORRY, I WAS TOO LAZY TO RESIZE. :D

MARDI GRAS TIME )

;alskjf;aslkf

I'm having such a blast here and being with Iso and meeting her wonderful friends is just making this experience so wonderful! It's been fantastic and Mardi Gras was everything I expected and more! I totally want to come back again with some great friends and just have a grand time. :D

So excited that I can't really sleep yet. Plus, I should update [livejournal.com profile] smsummary. :D
